You think that was an accident ?

I didn't say it was an accident i think it is at the lower scale of what is deemed violent.

If it's not accidental, then it's un undisputed red card offence, which the ref missed. So he gets the ban under this rule. Fair & square.

For him not to deserve a ban, the offence of stamping would have to be downgraded.

Every single tackle, stamp and head butt in this little lot deserves a 3 matcher or more im not sure Costa's does that's all i'm saying.

Funny how the likes of Neville & Henry don't think he should be banned retrospectively even though they probably thought it was a red at the time.

I wonder who is showing the game and who will be punditting on it as well?

And what about their teams chances if Chelsea can beat us, would that not make it a little easier to close the gap, or maybe they just want City to lose?

We'll just have to wait and see.
Got the opinion of my Chelsea supporting work mate. He's a decent guy. He reckons Chelsea were trying to pull a fast one and Costa will get banned.
He says he's a great player but in Spain the described him as being like sour milk. He's just got a nasty streak in him.
Who knows. Not too bothered either way now, if he misses tomorrow or not. I reckon his cards are marked now and he will sooner or later be seeing red.
Now that he has form, so to speak, it will be an easier decision for a ref to make. It's just the way of things.

Love to know on what basis an appeal was lodged - that its "just not fair he got caught this time, as hes gotten away with it for 5 months" perhaps.

The appeal had zero basis or chance, and I cant recall any such appeal on an FA charge being successful. The only mystery is why another game wasn't added for all the tubthumping and frivolous appeal.

From Sky Sports http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... -match-ban

The Chelsea striker Diego Costa will unfortunately miss his side's top-of-the-table Premier League clash against Wankchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday after disgracefully losing his appeal at a Football Association hearing on Friday.

The 45 yr old Brazilian-born Spain striker has been given the ban after gliding over Liverpool's Emre Can in the first half of the Capital One Cup semi-final, second leg, at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

Chelsea, who are five points clear at the top of the table and almost certain champions elect, will be without Costa for Saturday's clash against second-placed filth mongers and cheating bastards Manchester City as well as for their games at Aston Villa and at home to Everton.

Chelsea had given their full support to Costa for the hearing, which was fast-tracked because the FA are in on the conspiracy, to be heard on Friday to ensure an outcome was reached before the huge match against City

I suppose sky are in mourning now....are they all wearing black ties on there? He was never going to win that appeal, and should have gotten four games the dirty tramp.

You know when a player with his back to another player throws an elbow, catches the other player in the head. You know what, he's NOT FUCKING LOOKING AT HIM.

When Mangala kicked that player and gave away a penalty, I think we all said clear pen except one idiot who said he had no idea the player was there, guess what? Didn't fucking matter, you can't kick a player, throw an elbow at a player or stamp on a player and claim you didn't fucking look at them as a defence.
