scouse johnson

Postby kinkylola » Wed Dec 30, 2009 4:41 pm

just heard he's injured his knee ... might be a good stretch of time out.

I think this is gonna have a huge affect on them. Don't think he's a superstar but I always rated him as a RB, and more importantly I think he's a big part of their team ... especially as their squad is so thin.

Anyone else thinks this is gonna be the thing that seals their departure from the top4? Or am I thinking this is bigger than it is?

I think to say it seals there departure from the top 4 is a bit extreme, but it will have an effect on them as he has been one of there top players this year.

I think him being out will actually do them a favour. Liverpool usually play with a very strong back 4 who don't get to far past the half way line, enabling them to cover the slower players they have at CB. Johnson likes to get forward leaving them a little sparse at the back allowing teams to get them on the counter. With him out they will sure up at the back and let the midfield players to do the job he would have.

agreed. not sure this is good for us. after a nice start to the season he has been a liability more recently.
his defending is much like micah's. he blows hot and cold.
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

Its not good news for the national team. Our full back situation was patcy enough as it is (unless peeps on here think they can persuade me that Richards deserves the nod?)
