Palermo President Zamparini: "I will sell Paulo Dybala, I am almost certain of this''

"I had treated him like a son having spent €12m to acquire him. I will not speak to Dybala again"

Dybala: "It would be a dream to play for city"

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS JOVETIC OUT DYBALA IN. THIS LAD IS THE FUTURE.

Argentinian striker? But we've had such bad luck with them in the past.

Here is his actual quote.

I would buy a proven goalscoarer and most of all, one that is not injury prone.

Think we may need Jovetic to part-ex towards the Pogba cost; that said, a new striker will be required.

Would love to wax lyrical on this guys abilities but haven't seen nearly enough of him to pass any judgement.

There could be some truth in it, as we were strongly linked with him before he moved there.

I don't see Jovetic returning to a side not consistently challenging for honours in Italy, but I do think that Jovetic out and a player of this style in, capable of running the left side and able to score goals, would be a sensible tactical acquisition.

I still believe this squad need flexibility within to go from 451 to a genuine 433 in a game, the way Mourinho's teams used to first time around, and therefore we need the players who can play in midfield and move up to form a striking trio.

Not saying this is the player for us to do it, he looks tidy enough on that video though.

If I had to guess, I would say both Jovetic & Dzeko will be gone in the summer along with Yaya & maybe Kolarov. Not saying it's my choice, just what I think will happen.

The attacking players we are being linked to, are all more dynamic and smaller. Whether we are after signing two, or just signing one, then using the likes of Kelechi, I don't know, but something is afoot.

I amagine we will sign one of these, be it Dybala, Reus, Lacazette or A.N. Other, then use the rest of the cash for other positions, but it's not impossible we could go for two. I think Kelechi, Ambrose, Lopes etc should be used.

for 40-45m Euros? that seems a little steep for a 1 season sensation in Italian football (so far)...

I really can't see us overseeing that much of a transition in squad personnel given FFP at the moment all in one summer. Where's Yaya gonna go? Seems unlikely to me.

If you look at that list, it's not a squad overhaul, it's letting go of Yaya, plus 3 players who, this season, don't even add up to the contribution of one top player.

If we'd had Negredo from early last season instead of all three of those, we would have been much stronger as a squad.

As for Yaya, it's just my feeling, but I recon we've been talking to clubs about him for a while & he knows it.

Yaya would take some serious replacing, but the other three wouldn't be mised at all if one player coming in scored goals. There will be free transfers available who put as many crosses in as Kolarov, if that's all we require in a fullback.

didn't sound like reus is leaving dortmund from quotes i read after he signed a new contract the other day. of course, we know new contracts can be a precursor to moving on, but i'm not so sure with him now. i can't recall what suarez said after he resigned with liverpool as a means of a recent example.

do wonder about the status of sterling's lack of a new contract though. hard to see them allowing him go to us though.

psg would seem the most likely destination, no?

we would HAVE to sign pogba or a few big signings to even come close to making up for losing him.

Or we could just play a sensible system which doesn't have an over reliance one or two players like we have currently

Dybala? One of the two or three players of Serie A ready to play in Premier League for me! I'd love to watch him with a City shirt, but not for 40-45 ml £ indeed! At 20-25 it should be a great signing!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

Since he has been our most important player and heartbeat of the team over the past 3-4 years, letting Yaya go could easily be considered a squad overhaul by itself.

Really don't want to see him (or Milner) leave. But I'm a little less sentimental to losing shirtless-selfie taking balkan spastics made of glass.

Dybala sounds like a disease that Yaya could have picked up in Africa.

If this story does have a grain of truth in it, I like the idea of the kind of player this & other rumours suggest we are looking at.

It suits our development more that a lot of signings we have made. Taller less nippy strikers.

I've always been of the opinion that we need a big striker with a bit of presence about him, going right back since the takeover. (I was never even down on the idea of us signing Santa Cruz, just making sure he was fit first!). Adebayor was it for a short while until he showed his true personality.

But we have ended up with a succession of tallish strikers without 'presence'. Balotelli, Dzeko, Jovetic (ok he's not a striker but he's a forwardish player) & just one Aguero. Pellegrini signed the ideal big striker in Negredo, but then we have ended up with Jovetic & Dzeko.

Now it looks like we have a striker, albeit smaller, who is great in the air, & has presence. So we have our battering ram; Bony.

We have not though replaced Tevez, or Bellamy.

It looks like we will do, in the summer.
