don't worry, when i start watching baseball or something I'll make sure to A.) check to team's financials and find the worst one and B.) check their wins-losses record and find the worst ratio. when i find a club that meets both of those criteria i'll choose that one to support. that way, i won't be accused of being a plastic fan.

If you live further afield, in some mystifying obscure way, the team actually chooses you and this has nothing to do with financials, practicalities, success, history etc.etc. but, instead, it's just something in the ether, at a certain point in time, which captures your heart forever.

If you say this is what happened to you, then I believe you because, once the phenomenon that is City takes a hold of your heart strings, it will never, ever let go.
