Really promising game from Denayer tonight amongst some shambolic play from those around him. Keeper had a mare.

Guidetti looked disturbingly comfortable playing at that level when he came on & scored a real top quality goal. But I suppose if he can look good v Inter, then it augurs well for many of our kids, who look miles better than him at the comparable age.

Having said that, Bob's defence makes ours look like Juventus from the 70s . They are absolute fucking shite. Bob was fucking useless as well. Took off their best player & changed the system, Celtic scored. Brought back memories.

Considering Celtic handed 3 goals to Inter & still didn't lose, you wiuld have to say they are not necessarily out of this.

Great fun game.

Did you see the recent interview with Denayer? Sounds like a great lad and his confidence is sky high at the moment. He wants to break into City's first team next season and play alongside Kompany, I think we may be looking at actual centrehalf squad depth next season, shock horror.

What's that about Soriano and Pellers? That's news to me.

Here mate

And now Mario pisses Sturridge off by taking the penalty. And he scores.

Well in Pellers!

If Mario is on the field there shouldn't be any debate at all about who's taking pens, as hes the best Ive ever seen at it.

Where was Richards last night? Oh yeah, parked on Fiorentina's bench. How many more benches does Micah need to be sat on to realise his failure to play is down to his own (in)ability and nothing else?

to be fair to Richards, he played at the weekend and was on for the full 90 and kept a clean sheet. I was surprised to see him benched again, however, it might be rotation, lets see if he plays this weekend. IMO he will be a RB in a mid table prem team next season.

I thought he did well, too. Considering the Celtic keeper seemed determined to give the game away, Celtic did really well in the end. If that was Grobbelaar you'd be suspicious and be checking for irregular betting patterns. The goal keeping really was that bizarre.
Nice goal by Guidetti too. He's looking fitter than I had seen him for years.

I've also had a feeling for a while he'll end up at Liverpool

Fecking hell, what's happened to Real? They were flying in the league and now Barca have overtaken them. They look 2nd best here, at home, against Schalke who could've had a couple if it weren't for bad finishing.

And they score, 2-1 on aggregate. Well deserved.

Didn't realise that de Matteo was the Schalke manager. He has pedigree in the competition.

And that's what Real can do even when they're shit. One set piece, Tranny fods it into the back of the net.
