Di Canio's was the best. Bergkamp's the second best. sure.

Off the top of my head, RVP's volley?
All we are saying is give Doug a pass.

No doubt there were some absolute corkers but I agree Di Canio followed by Bergkamp with perhaps Shreks/Taylor's in third.

Di Canio, Henry and Bergkamp stand out for me as they are different from any other goals I've seen. Volleys are impressive but as the list shows not as rare as the trio I mentioned.

Henry gets my vote because the goal itself was more important in the context of the game and title race (1-0 win over the rags if I remember rightly).

I'm a big fan of the volley and reckon it beats pretty much everything hands down. The one on SSN that is my favourite is the Paul Scholes one. A beauty.

I don't give a shit how good they were, noneof them hold a candle to Darius @ Sunderland the other season as far as I'm concerned.

These make a good top3.

Outside of the prem, Redondos backheel against the scum was probably the most sublime build-up to a goal I witnessed 'live' in the last decade (yes, April 2000). I'd like to think that not only the finish should be considered. Fuck all those volleys, where's the passing football? The creativity? The vision?
