Ok maybe I went a bit heavy with hate crime and police. I will accept that criticism. I also accept that there may be a forum history to the thread title which I was not aware of. Some valid points have been made on here and some overreactions as well.

The point I made politely at the start and I will reiterate, this is an offensive term and better it is not used.

My original and reasonable request to change the title was met with pure insult. I still think moderators should change the language and ban this as it is in society generally. We all know spastic is an insult term, I certainly know that. Other non-offensive words can convey the meaning just as effectively.

I have no doubt the poster was directing the title at previous posts but repeating an offensive term which belittles those with disability, really is that necessary or required?
