Verane & Pepe have to keep this lot at the top of the league with even less cover than City's back 4 get.

And that's the issue, they're no longer the top of the league, with all that talent.

Two 19 year old kids amongst the best players. Away team playing with belief and attacking. And the goals Real scored were easily defendable. Very close indeed.

How was that a foul. Referee looking very sheepish there.

Really good game from a neutral pov. Real lost on the night and just about scraped through. They are going backwards. and Anchovie looked under real pressure at the end.

Schalke have to take heart from that performance, even though their defence went to shite, but then again, they had to force the play and left themselves open. And how do you stop a team like Real?

Unfortunately I can see us being vulnerable at the back if we have to go for it. But it just shows you with a bit of belief and hard work, it's possible.

Two goals from headers & one Nasti bottle special. Tonight's goals were well stoppable.

That's what it's going to take and it's noticeable that we play better in Europe when we change our personnel and shape.
