They would though, wouldn't they. Platini the prick.

Like.

Formation ofherwise known as 442. Or 451 or 4231 depending on where they are stood from one minute to the next & how much running they do.

Silva is in the position he wants to be by the look of it, so now's his chance to cement it.

He could double his tally tonight.....all from City of course.

This referee performance will be one to behold!

good, solid lineup

we need a big, big game from Yaya as he went missing here last year.

nervous and not expecting much but still have a small hope for a sneeky 3-2 win.

Aguero hattrick, COME ON CITY!

Tall order, this. Obviously. The funny thing is that it would be Typical City to be so abject at Burnley and then give it a go here.

If it all goes badly I am curious as to exactly what the general line will be as to what in hindsight Pellers did wrong. I'd be in for "too much rotation at the back" if there was betting on that sort of thing.

hard to say, but the only thing I can see in hindsight that people could moan about would be Sagna for Zabba. Time for Bacary to earn his season's paycheck tonight

Will be interesting to see where Silva spends a lot of his time during the game, compared to where Jovetic or Dzeko would be, & what formation people think we are playing.

As Pellegrini's preferred system at Malaga often used Isco in the position Silva may be playing, and was in fact 4222.

If we win, it will go down as being 5 in midfield, even if he rarely comes into our half.

Based on the last six months, Zabba would be chewed up, spat out and left in a heap on the touchline. Before getting sent off. Sagna is not really much of a downgrade, if at all

Things im looking forward to:

Yaya laying on the floor while the oppo break away
Fernandino allowing everyone to run straight past him
Carl blaming Kompany for something that's not his doing
Kompany cocking up and Carl saying I told you so
A defender being sent off
Nasri passing sideways
Ted telling us lescott would do better
One of these comments coming back to bite me in the arse

Bring it on :)

I agree. Zabba is one of the worst fullbacks in the league this season. Hopefully it's just fatigue. If not next season is his last at City.

Line up seems reasonable, even if Sagna is the only one of the recent recruits deemed good enough to start.

So, happy with team and probable formation, so I can't moan about that at the end of the game. Let's hope the attitude and effort is right. If it is & we still lose, it's just one of those things, they're better than us, move on & cement at least 2nd. An attitude like against Liverpool, Leicester or Burnley and it'll be a cricket site and heads should role and I don't just mean Pellegrini.

But of course! I remember when many pundits had the subbing on of a midfielder for a striker as the reason Yaya hit a wonder strike from distance in a match last October. I am thinking Villa away and that the sub was something like 30 seconds prior to Yaya's goal.

biggest point for me though is that our 'center 4' in the back (fern, yaya, komps, demi) have a stellar game.. Yaya should want to prove to them in person what they've been missing

Not a fan of Nasri playing over Navas. Navas has more pace and is better defensively. But he'd also be putting in crosses that Aguero and Silva wont be getting their heads on
