a bit too inexperienced for my liking. I prefer starting with a next to full strength team, perhaps with Weiss as only academy player, and then throw in the youngsters when/if we're a couple of goals up.

I hope so cos that makes no fuclin sense. If Sylvinho, where is Petrov playing? Right wing? If so, where is Weiss playing?
Too many players out of position. Maybe Weiss playing off Benjani? Fuck knows...

So now we know the team and Fred Eyre reckons Sylvinho will be left midfield.

--------------Given

Zabaleta Richards Boyata Garrido

Weiss De Jong Kompany Sylvinho

--------------Petrov

--------------Benjani

Interestingly, Robinho doesn't even make the bench. However, Barry, Tevez and Bellamy are on the subs bench in case we need them. Shauny, is obviously resting up for Wednesday.

Worrying team selection ...

On a side note ... How fucking great aren't lazy Saturdays? I've just opened my first can of lager, and I'm still in my Pyjamas (I'm an hour ahead of you, btw).

I'm sure I heard fred eyre describe sylvinho as playing left back, but in front of the left back..... if that makes any sense, I would imagine that petrov is left wing and Benji is up top on his own!!!!

Hope you're right Doug! I believe, for what it's worth.

Imagine the reaction on here though, if this 11 had been picked by....... no I'm not going there & I'm not going to slate anyone if it goes wrong. I'll just put it down to neccessity/priority.

Judging from the teamsheet I think we'll be seeing something like this..............

--------------------Given----------------------------

Richards------Boyata-----Kompany------Sylvinho

-------------Zabba-----------De Jong--------------

Weiss-----------------Petrov---------------Garrido

------------------------Benjani-----------------------

Should be OK. I have faith.

Certainly agree with the fact that Sylvinho will be left back and Garrido Left Midfield

Exactly what i thought. Its obvious zaba is gonna be in the middle with Nigel. Not sure how the 3 left footers will position them selves.

Could be more of a 4-4-2? with petrov uptop?
