Interesting. Give us a clue....

As an aside, looking forward to the EDS v Celtic game. Reckon it'll be a slightly odd line up given Monday's game but it'll be enjoyable nonetheless.

I would be surprised if tonight's team isn't the best we can put out which means all the best under 18's side will be in there.

Do you think he will risk the U18's getting an injury before Monday? I think he would prioritise FA Youth cup final wouldn't he?

Risk is an interesting word. I think the game tonight is pretty important as well and I do think the likes of Barker,Angelino, Maffeo,Bryan will play tonight and they of course are key players for Monday.

Can we afford to rest them?

Who knows what alternatives we have or how good Celtic will be. Last time we played a Celtic youth side they beat us easily I seem to recall.

If an alternative right back is Bossaerts then no we can't afford to rest Maffeo. If the alternative to Barker is Dilrosun then again no we will lost too much. The same goes for Angelino as I can't even think of another decent left back.

I would rest everyone we need for Monday personally.

We are 2nd favourites in that one without Boadu & Ambrose. If we lose Barker etc as well or if they are fatigued, we're fucked.
Smith Brown at fullback for me.

I've been travelling so unable to check on posts. Anyways I'm home now.

I'm here as nothing more than a City fan who wants the best for the club and if that means the mention of a bad coach in our academy then so be it.

The problem is that parents of academy boys do not speak up because they worry for their kids future.

I must stress we have some real quality people in our academy that would be the envy of many, but one bad person can really have an adverse effect.

Has this been brought to the club's attention?

Don't you think you should bring it to the club's attention?

Yes I do but that depends on parents willing to speak up and the sad fact is that if they speak up when their son is in the academy (any academy) they fear reprisals eg their son doesn't get a contract etc. Clubs close ranks and the accused are seldom dealt with.

If on the other hand, parents speak up after their son has left it is seen as nothing more than sour grapes and again doesn't get resolved.

The politics is what protects these parasites and they know it.

That's why I'm asking you do you not believe that you should bring it to the club's attention.

I appreciate the point you're making about the parents and I empathise fully with their situation if the allegations you're making are true.

In this situation then surely someone that doesn't have a kid in the academy but is aware of this happening and knows who the perpetrator should contact the club and advise them that this is happening.

I'd be more than happy to but the parents will not speak up and without that there's no evidence.

I just can't imagine the club taking me seriously.

Well I guess that's a fair point. I'm gonna have a chat with a couple of the parents who have issues and try and convince em to speak up before I do anything.

Considerably weakened team. Expected to be honest.

Aha, it seems a parent did complain via a letter and no action 'appeared' to have been taken.

The player in question left as a result and now plays elsewhere.

And it's because the kids are so young that I feel so passionate about it.
