Agreed. Away from home against such a physical side we need less flair and more muscle.

Then bring on Tevez later on in the 2nd half for whoever stayed on out of the two.

Richards has been superb at what, exactly?
Has he stopped a cross yet?

He has put lots of important blocks in in the box and looks good 1v1 so far imho. Sorry just my opinion.

4-4-2 out, 4-5-1 in.

My two cents.

Richards has been our best defender by long stretch, why would you want to take him off?

Deluded my dear friend. Richards isn't half the player Zabba is. Get him on now before Richards costs us.

I have to say that superman has had a very quiet first half.

Given - being decent but a little reluctant to claim high balls.
Richards - poor with the ball but doing well defensivley
Bridge - decent but 3 or 4 times out of position and susceptible to through balls (possibly robbies fault)
Toure - done quite well
Dunne, got his body in the way a few times did well at times, doesn't deserve the shit thats being thrown at him already but still prone to an error and looks a tad slow and clumsy.

Ireland - on the edge of the game
Barry - motm so far imho, getting stuck in and doing well on the ball.
SWP - doing fairly well, covering alot of ground getting back, not getting a chance to show what he can do with the ball
robbie - same old robbie, done nothing so far but could pull out one moment of magic.

Ade - took his goal well, doing ok holding up the ball, doing ok.
Bellers - stretching the game and stopping Blackburn from compressing the pitch, much more important than people think, without him the game would be way too compact and suit blackburn much more as we'd have even less space than we have on the ball now. Fancy him (or Tevez if he replaces him) to steal one on the break when Blackburn tire.

My second half opinion - blackburn will tire around 60mns and providing dunne or bridge don't make a huge fuck up, we'll win comfortably in the end, might have to wait till 70th minute for the second goal and possibly a 3rd in the dying minutes.

I disagree I think Richards has been good so far. Our big problem is Dunne.

Jordan scored an own goal for Burnley. They're stuggling against Stoke.

Might be an idea to bring De Jong on, and switch Ireland to the right, with SWP off

Don't be a clown. Richards had good first half apart from the marking error in the corner.

According to the OS Barry has completed 15 of 24 passes.

Is it just me or is that pretty crap?

SWP and Ireland's stats are better but not much.

It seems like we give up possession in the midfield 1 out of every 3 passes. I'd have thought that particularly in away games we need to be concentrating on keeping possesion better than that. Killer balls are fine when you are two or three up or bossing the game but they can't score if we have the ball.
