Well, we made hard work of that !!

Still, a win is a win (even if it was a relatively unconvincing performance )

Who do we fancy in the next round ?? Leicester ?? Crystal Palace ??

I think you're over reacting a bit. Of course Strachan isn't helped by it. For Borer to be able to beat us, they need their best players, and they need to have a great day.

Yes, we're missing a bunch of players as well, but it's not as big of a deal for us.

They're supposed to be neutral pure and simple and both teams have injuries

Me too mate but Benjani other than the goal was pretty poor. Also how the fuck Tevez didn't score today was beyond me!

Us, Manchester City, defending, leads, three clean sheets, still in all competitions in January, with our reputation?

BINGO!

Agree. Very good debut.

We're through. That's all that's matters for me at the moment. Won't be too bothered by our performance giving that it was a cup game in heavy snow fall against an uninspiring opponent.

4 wins on the trot, 3 clean sheets, still in both cups and 5th in the Prem! Could life be better as a City fan???

Ideally like a home tie in next round.

It's worth bearing in mind we had 11 unavailable for various reasons. Cup football - all about winning and getting through, not about the performance. If anything it's the kind of ugly 1-0 away win that we need to get more often as that'll be the type of game which decides how far we'll finish up in the lge
MANCINI Record at City

2012-13 League..................Pld 36 - W 22 - D 9 - L 5 - GF 62 - GA 31 - Pts 75...Finished 2nd

History books only ever say who won the cup, they don't mention if the winners fielded a weakened team and struggled a bit in the 3rd round. In the hat for the 4th round does me nicely.

Stupid risk imo after last year & lost our momentum from last few games but luckily Boro were hopeless & Wheater missed his big free header moment along with Riggott.

Very impressed with Boyata but wouldn't like to see him against PL strikers for another year or two. Weiss didn't do himself any favours though & looked a lesser player than Adam Johnson on the day.

I know i'm going to sound like a broken record, but I was really happy with Boyata. I know the opposition wasn't as strong as the last few games, but to make your debut on the road in shit weather, hats off to him. A pratically flawless performances other then one bad forward pass. Won tons in the air, and look composed when we needed composure near the end.

ive just seen the goal on ITV, they were showing all the goals from today with a few words about each game. When it came to City they simply said that we won but it was against the run of play.
