It's hard as a fan, waiting and waiting, but anyone who reads your reports on the academy games has to be encouraged that we are in for something special in the next 5 years or so. It may take that long to have a team thatvhas been groomed in the City way or are capable of playing with those that have been.

I think there will be a day where a special player emerges in the first team, be it next year, two years, three years, then it will become more & more commonplace for players to come through.

I'm actually ten times more excited about this than the prospect of loads of money being spent & big signings in the future, which will of course still happen.

I wish the season was over as a competition & we could play some now. The Champions League plus fear of relegation & the financial implications of both, is probably another reason why there are so few kids coming though in this country in recent times.

The commentator made a special point on this, saying that the organization and professionalism from the city team was excellent

There certainly weren't any passengers

It was nice to have a commentator without an agenda who just described what he saw. Apparently some 14 year olds have just ripped the shit out of Bruge.

Just watched it cheers.

Not as slick as a team compared to the other unit, but fuck; talent yet again, all over the place. Commentator described the strength in depth as 'frightening' & he's not wrong.

That free kick Camacho scored from what 25 yards ? Neither Hart nor Spurs' keeper is saving that. Top corner; Ronaldo style. Superb.

5 games no goals conceded. Ridiculous.

That team was more Chelsea like I thought. Bit more raw power and pace up top. That striker, Campbell. Fuck me, he's a beast of a player. Foden is a beautifully gifted player. Not seen a young English player move like that with the ball in ages - could have swore i was just watching Silva.

The first game is on there too if you click the little right arrow before you press play. Both are well worth a watch for anyone with a couple of hours to spare.
