I'm not convinced at all that City have 'confirmed' Mangala cost 42 mil. Not am I convinced on the fee we are supposed to have paid for Fernandinho, while we are at it.

I don't think City have told anybody how much they paid for either & it's the selling clubs who are coming up with the figures but nobody in the media has got the details. I think a deal may have been done with the other percentage owed to 3rd parties for Mangala. But 32 mil is too much for the Mangler anyway, just as 27 mil is too much for Luke Shaw & any money we might pay for Sterling or Barkley or Bale or Pogba or Koke or any other cunt we sign, who is wanted by several clubs, is going to be far too much.

That's how it is. We either pay up, or miss out.

We were not Mangala's first choice and I am also guessing the price was so high that other teams didn't want to take the risk of paying so much. He wanted to go to "London" so we didn't have too much leverage with Porto other than wages we could offer him, and maybe a chance at some more prestige being in the Premier League. Otherwise maybe he would have waited another season at Porto. Who knows?

We wanted a new centre half quite badly, had spent some time targeting him, and the options out there are/were limited for a world class potential player of his ability already.

We had to pay or get nothing close to these attributes from any others out there from what the club must have seen and were aware of was available.

If you then were to count every other blemish or mistake that cost a goal or perhaps that had to be rescued & judge him on that, you would get rid.
