Agree with Mike J there - left back would suggest Baines as a short term option but maybe take a punt on Cresswell from the Hammers?

Will Kompany and Zabaleta ever get their shit together again?

Will Mangala start to show he is worth whatever crazy amount we paid for him?

Will Demichelis's legs hold out indefinitely?

Can we afford to keep playing the least worse of our 2 left backs?

I think the back 4 needs serious attention before surgery is performed further upfront.

Everyone still fancy the same players or does this put a completely different, bigger, fatter cat amongst the pigeons ?

I'm in for a slice of Bale now as mentioned elsewhere, but I think I'll have a Pogba & Koke to go with it.

Plus Sterling, Arjen Robben, two fullbacks & Shay Given.

Off the top of my head.

What say you ?

Out btw: Nasri, Jovetic, Dzeko, Yaya, Sagna, Caballero, Lampard, Boyata, Milner if no option & one of Clichy/Kolarov.

Recent games have convinced me we will still keep our football style without them.

In:
Rudiger (10m)
Tielemans (12m)
De Sciglio (15m)
Pogba (40-50m)
Turan (20m)
koke (30m)
Sterling (30m)

Promoted in and around first team:
Nacho --
Denayer --
Barker --
Angelino --
Maffeo --

Out:
Nasri
Dzeko
Yaya
Lampard
Boyata
Milner
Clichey
Sagna
Jovetic

Two potential bargains. Song available it is said for 6 million euros and apparently home grown. Bartra with a reserve price of 10 million euros according to Rafa Hernandez. A very good centre back. He played in fewer than 60 per cent of games for Barca which has depressed the reserve price apparently.

Didn't Arsenal 'line up' a 11m bid for Destro? Why the fuck would we pay thrice that? Also, no chance to land Ramsey for only 25m and Barkley for 20m. Not convinced by Otamendi and if we are looking at short-ish centre backs, we might as well trust Denayer. I like the look of Ricardo Rodgriuez though.

Would never trust Khedira to cover the back four either. Undisciplined shithouse.

Judging by Barca's recent games & how much they need him, I think double that would be required.

Messi £300m :-)

All day and all night. If there was even a sniff of a chance pay whatever. Looking really unlikely now as he seems to have fallen in love with Barca again.

Failing that, Suarez. A front three of Suarez Bony Aguero with Silva just behind and we simply rip sides apart

If Song is going for a song, it would be a useful signing. Help stiffen up the mid when requred, & allow other mids to keep fresh by rotating.

I'll raise you Robben, Bale Aguero, front 3 with Silva behind, & Bony, Silva, Sterling as alternatives to swap for any in the front 3, with Pogba behind.

Realistic possibility if enough money is offered imo.

That would be a bit of a leap of faith

United and Real Madrid sell the most shirts, averaging about 1.4m each per year according to this article in 2012. If any extra do get shifted in China, you can bet your house the club and manufacturer don't see a penny from it.

http://www.sportingintelligence.com/201 ... ts-081001/

How Adidas can afford to pay $100m a year to United is beyond me.

Is that shirts only? Think about all those full kit wankers.

Another article linked to the one you posted says the following:

The research also outlines the fierce battle for supremacy between the leading kit suppliers Nike and adidas within the lucrative football market, estimated by PR Marketing to be worth £3.4 billion a year. Adidas enjoy a 38 per cent market share worth almost £1.3bn a year, while Nike enjoys a 36 per cent share (£1.2bn a year).

So it's around 6.5% of Adidas's (2012) income from football for supplying a team that (allegedly, and the figure is open to massive speculation, I know) 12% of a £3.4 billion market supports. If fan spending were distributed equally, that would be a £408 million return annually.
