In all fairness, if Nacho isn't expected to play because he was in action yesterday then, by the same criterion, none of the other 'kids' who also were playing should be expected to be involved today.

Perhaps the pre-season games will be crucial in seeing what will develop in this respect.

Second in the prem was confirmed before any EDS game..............I think its shocking that we have noone from the youth ranks anywhere near our squad today ffs !!

This stinks and is my main gripe as to why I dont want Pellers managing us next season.

But the fact that all our best kids played yesterday means he made this decision earlier in the week. If he can't see fit to give them a runout in an absolute dead rubber at season's end, he's just never going to do it. It's fucking garbage.

Good news - a settled back four again - bad news - both Lampard and Yaya named as starters. (Nice to see Lampard given the honour of captain for his send-off though).

NBC have been showing Saturday 3pm kickoffs all season - as there was no football yesterday I would guess they will be showing today's matches.

I know, I know.

Don't pour buckets of water over my head you two guys - I'm only trying to be fair.

I'm as impatient as anyone else to see our youngsters given a chance in the first team and I know Pellegrini's record in that respect hasn't, so far, been exemplary but I'm just hoping that we see some changes in attitude in pre-season which are then carried through to the new campaign.

I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for this.........just hope I don't get arthritis in them.

I'm hoping he will be gently told to start playing the kids next season - we all expect it to be his last season with us and the club needs to look to the future on the pitch as well as off it.

As with others, I find it embarrassing and a little ridiculous that we've tossed the kids aside so readily for this game. Every other team that has nothing left to play for (and some with) are giving some a chance and we're not. It's bollocks and makes a mockery out of the academy.

Honestly can't see an occasion where he will give them a go. When if not in a dead rubber? Proved he won't do it in the cups.
