His last line was perfect IMO.
The first team should never be compromised.

If blooding a youngster clearly compromises the team and their ability to get a victory that progresses the team in that competition, then he shouldn't be blooded.

Obviously, there is no guarantee any youngster is going to make it, but there should be clear signs that said player at least LOOKS like he could improve the team, or at least not compromise it.

I NEVER want the first team compromised. For any reason.

I want them to win every game.

I'm in total agreement pal, why should we do it for the sake of it?

Gone are the days where we need the youngsters to step up, we're on a different trajectory. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a Messi/Iniesta et al triage doing for City but we are not there yet, we need to prove every season and that means concentrating on the players that are paid big bucks to do so.

Our custodians are probably the best we'll ever know, understanding the need as well as the necessity. They understand that we need to be in the mix for all competitions, but to necessitate that we can't do it with the kids.

Whatever happens, it will take a while for the kids to take shape and when you've got established 30 million pound players who have been promised or got egos, do you really play the under-ling?

I'd love the youth to get a chance, everybody would, we're conditioned. The reality for me is that I don't give a toss, because we don';t need to.

Trust in the excellence we have, and it will all come good.

I agree with you lads.

...And what a bloke Khaldoon seems to be. Like someone mentioned, that's the kind of guy I'd want to work for/with.

What a way to restore the confidence in your club after potless season btw!! Now I can't wait to see what the summer and next season holds for us!

Watched the second part. Speaks about the Academy and CFG and that we are now profitable. All clubs within the CFG will operate to the same template and everything is going to plan. The future is bright etc. Nothing specific. Was hoping there might be more., but you do get the impression that we are in safe hands. Failure will not be an option.

I haven't had time to listen to this yet but didn't I hear a clip that revenue is now over £350M?

In today's money that would make 483 million euros. After the last Deloitte report I read an analysis that said City's revenues would be in this sort of area for May 2015 whilst United's - 518M euros in 2014 - would dip slightly to around 490M for May 2015 due to lack of CL.

Whilst theirs is expected to grow away from us again after that (?) due to commercial deals coming on stream, it will give them one hell of a fright - and boy am I looking forward to Deloitte this time!

These days of course Finance Directors have a spreadsheet or two that tells them exactly what the revenue is to the penny per minute - so people will know the true figures now. The next few months is for accountatnts to decide what gets moved/placed where etc.
