"Dear SKY

I wonder if the editor obsessed with Stephen Gerard could take some holidays for a couple of weeks? For most of us it isn't newsworthy that he has arrived at LA, certainly not a main headline, for 3 days in one form or another.

Neither was it really newsworthy that it was his last FA Cup game/last Anfield game/last visit to Crystal Palace/last visit to the toilet etc etc

PLEASE get over it.

Cheers

John, St Austell"

That's a daily media round-up on all news/rumours they do every day on OS.

Bit like poor man's chinners bollox. Similarly how their training reports were not a patch on Doug's reports

The word on the street seems to be that's it's sponsorship related, but it does seem as if several transfer deals are very very close to possible closure, so who knows ? We'll have to keep our ears to the grindstone.

They do favour a touch of the melodramatic. Remember that day we signed five players for Sven?

That doesn't actually make sense to me, doing it like that.

Make a big hoo hah about each signing, & get the club advertised & sponsors names on tv each time, rather than all just once. Three/ four days of City, & their sponsors in the background, being the main topic, rather than just one. That's how I would do it.

Just to mention that the rumour I read yesterday said 7 o clock.

If it is these other announcements, which are all of course good news, it's earlier than expected & not so exciting as hoped, but I'm not giving up on it yet.

Love city

Bloody well hate SAP

This better not be all the announcements over for today - though I have a feeling it is.

1. Maybe don't want to over shadow a deal with SAP by making any further announcements today or;

2. Bolster and further the SAP deal coverage by having a big announcement this evening in time for the news 'in the same day as signing a deal with SAP CFG also announce the signing of <insert favorite rumoured player> at Manchester City.

Another possibility is that the top brass are in town at the moment, but may soon be fucking off with the team to Oz. So they may want to get this kind of stuff done in the next few days (which could of course include a signing or two, if we are at that stage).

Fair point which might mean outline of how far we are prepared to go on each target agreed, initial agreements in place, legal and other teams working while the squad fly off - my guess is that two will be announced prior to Thursday and if bigger targets are in the pipeline they will take longer - I.e.
