Is there no executive at SKY who can see this ludicrous Liverpool-bias on the channel. A club that hasn't won the League since Noah was a lad, with a set of pundits all thoroughly entrenched in the past, believing that the Dippers are among the world's top clubs.

Thompson, Barnes, Aldridge, Carragher etc etc

"Liverpool massif club.....eestry.......loads of fans in the world......like Man U.......eestry....still compete with the best......eestry...good deal.................eestry.................Sterling no good..................eestry."

I was thinking that but his twitter account is @sterling31 and we have the squad number 31 free, depends if he has some kind of affinity with the number 31

With regards to the press, they love it as they get to write thousands of words and get the millions of global dipper fans believing every word, media scum, same old same old. We are used to it.

Depressing this..

Why can we never sign someone and be met with some positivity by the media, you'd think we just signed Jon Macken for £49 million the way they are reacting!

Also where the hell did £200k a week wages come from... I was under the impression City have entirely restructured how we pay wages now, with lower(ish) salary's and very high bonuses in an effort to counter some issues within FFP... why isn't the media aware of this? or reporting this?

Y know, if this was someone like West Ham, & we came in & took their star player, & the fans were gutted, & upset, I'd feel a fair bit of sympathy for them & a little bit of regret that it had to happen that way, but with these cunts, I delight in every little iota of pain that can be squeezed out.

I particularly love the 'I never liked him anyway' stuff.

It's like food.

I really like Sterling as a player and am glad we signed him. He's young, skilful, has shown he can take responsibility.

And yet it's still a huge gamble - his reported off field activities show him for what he is - a very young kid with shed loads of money and time on his hands. I just hope someone at City can take him under his wing so he can mature well for us; shame in that respect that Lampard's gone.

£60m for Di Maria or £50m for a far younger Sterling?? I'd take Sterling.

I'd take Sterling too, not to say Di Maria isn't a good player, he is, i just don't think Manchester life suits him. One of the perils of buying from abroad.

Worth noting that if you look back at all the top stars of today, a tiny tiny quantity were producing to the level Sterling is at his age now. I doubt highly we will see the true Sterling for a few years yet, which is rather exciting, he could go right to the top of the game if he gets his head down.

Jerome Sinclair has reportedly turned down a new deal & asked to leave the Liverpool cult.
Coincidence, or treatment of Sterling ?

Either way, I think Doug & Twosips would probably agree; sign him up.

He was Liverpools best EDS player against us last season, scored a good goal and was always a threat, he looked like a young sturridge, pace and confidence.
Not sure he is better than what we have though?

Considering we haven't made a substantial signing in a while there is a real fucking air of jealousy surrounding the whole deal haha.

Bitches crying about money again all of a sudden

Not at all no. But he looked a player of our standard, rather than theirs, & as I mentioned re Greg Dyke, these cunts could suddenly get together to try & stitch us at academy level on the pretence of 'helping England'. If we have 6 of the best talents around at 18, they can't backdate it, those kids are ours & assuming most kids don't make it at City's level, if we get 1 or 2 from 6 or 7, we are laughing. If they all come through we pick the best 3 , sell the rest & it saves us 150 million quid.

SSN running a poll..........

"Sterling, who has got the better deal?"

Scouse: 95%

Man City 5%

I'm thinking of asking them to run another poll............

Who will Brenda spunk the cash on and will Scouse make the top 4 next season?

Good one....worth a flutter on a combined bet of them not reaching top 4 and Rodgers being sacked.

This deal is £44m as I understand it. It can rise by another £5m if we win the champions league and he scores so many goals etc. as it stands then QPR get c£9m and the dippers £35m. I don't know why they think getting £35m for a young England international is so good. They have already spent a lot more than that.

Arsenal Wenger says Sterling is top class player and a good buy for us. Expensive but City can afford it.
