Fabian Delph

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

He didn't look exactly thrilled outside the stadium. Sort of embarrassed really.
I really want this signing and that of Sterling to work out well. And for these players to ram the words back down the naysayers throats.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

Great , finaly some normal pricetag for player.

Maybe Delph changed his mind because loads of people explained to him what a berk he'd been to pass up that opportunity. Loved Paul Lambert being shown up for the prick he is .

There's still a question mark over whether he will count as HG as according toNQDP he's narrowly missed qualification by a matter of days

If I have the signing date of 1st July 2013 correct then Denayer will count as homegrown next season and indeed as club trained.

here is the rule: A “club-trained player” is a player who, between the age of 15 (or the start of
the season during which he turns 15) and 21 (or the end of the season during
which he turns 21), and irrespective of his nationality and age, has been
registered with his current club for a period, continuous or not, of three entire
seasons (i.e. a period starting with the first official match of the relevant
national championship and ending with the last official match of that relevant
national championship) or of 36 months.

He signed before the start of the 13-14 season and the 15-16 season will have finished by the time of his 21st birthday on 28/6/16 so will have been with us for the 3 complete seasons.

Delph quoted this morning as saying Micah told him City is the best club in the world, and he had the time of his life with us. Well done Micah and no surprise he said it.

Zucculini is 22 and has not gone out on loan yet, he is there in our squad and website.

I was wondering about Denayer not being on the mcfc first team list too.

Delph is already on the list, so the list seems up-to date, Lopes is there on the list, not having Denayer is really a little confusing as he is most likely to be in the team than other youngsters.

Not sure if we are waiting to see how Denayer performs in pre-season and then decide on either putting him in the team or sending him on loan.

The current list includes more players than we are allowed to register, so some are bound to leave. I'm sure we're looking for a club for Zuculini. He's too old for the b list and as someone who couldn't hack it at Cordoba and played very little first team football last season, I don't see him occupying one of the very valuable 17 spots reserved for non-homegrown players.

There were some reports in Italy linking him with Hellas Verona a month ago.

I've also wondered why Lopes is the only youth classed with the first team on the OS.

Whether he is loan or not if he is in the first team squad he ought to be on the website - Richards, the beast etc were, though they were more established

Zuculini? Of course, just saying that I wouldn't plan with him for the season, as he's bound to be loaned/sold.

Lopes? Technically, he's eligible for the B-list, same as Denayer, which doesn't stop either from playing for the first team. Weirdly, one is listed with the first team while the other is not. And neither is Iheanacho, who was supposedly 'promoted' along with those two. Just wondering why there seems to be a difference.

I wouldn't read into anything posted on the website. It means nowt. I'm sure Pellers isn't sat there emailing them, directing that list and it won't be fully updated until the season starts anyway.

Its unreliable - the website has the birthdays wrong of some of the EDS players! Take it with a pinch of salt until its officially announced.

Spot on.

IMO Basically all you can count on to be true on our OS are the prices of tickets, shirts etc. everything else is just not up to speed

Almost forget we signed him. Funny considering I met him over here. Seems a nice chap, praised styllian Petrov as his biggest inspiration and called yaya his toughest opponent who he got sick of getting beat by, so he joined him.

I had forgot we had signed him! Was in another thread about our signings and missed him out. Hopefully it's not the sign of things to come!
