We (me and the lasses stood next to me) reckon it was Duggan, but Staines Town laser display and video replay screens are on the blink. Chelsea have equalised.

Stand by for more incisive commentary.

Are we ruining the women's game as well? Is the coverage as biased as the men's?

Frank swift clearly has an agenda
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Well taken first goal by Toni Duggan after the Chelsea full back messed up and City were much the better side for a while. Then they started giving the ball away trying to do things in a hurry and as Chelsea upped their game.

I thought Chelsea got a bit physical as well and it's not that City can't be a bit physical but it just put them off their game.Their equaliser came when Houghton just allowed their striker to advance into the D and toe poke a hopeful shot through her legs. A bit lucky but really she shouldn't have been allowed a shot.

Then the winner when a free kick from Houghton was diverted into her own net by a defender. Hard to say it was deserved on the overall run of play but as Chelsea haven't lost at home for 2 years it's a massive win and 4 wins in a row now

Yep, nobbled by the Daily Mirror. It's caviar with my chips and scraps tonight.

But I go with what Douglas just wrote, but I think that City worked harder and I don't think it was an unfair result.

I'd like to see us do better at set pieces.

I think this could be CIty's year for the women's team. (league-wise, since they're already cup winners).

I enjoyed watching this with my daughter - thought the player on the right of midfield, recently arrived from the US I think had a great debut - forgotten her name now.

Watched this, good stuff.

Problem is there was an overlap with NYC - sort it out Ferran.

I knew it!

Seriously though, thanks for reporting.

Are the Women's team buying everyone out of the water like the men's team did in the beginning or is it a more cautions approach? Do you know?

When they started (only last year let's not forget) we had "bought" Bardsley,Houghton,Duggan,Scott and Christiansen and built a team around them and the rest were either local talent like our own SoF plus some others who had been around clubs mostly up north. It was a question of finding out which of the non "stars" were good enough. That was a big part of last year and a few additions were made during the season and since to add to the squad and improve the first team.

To win a trophy in that first season was very special and not really expected but the team, and that's very much all of them and not just the special few, worked really hard and deserved what they got. This year a few more have been added like Lucy Bronze a proven winner and another England international have been added. DEemi Stokes at left back is very quick, Nikki Parris likewise up front and a goal scorer, Jennifer Beattie who is either holding midfield or center back,Kathleen Radtke at center back and all have improved the side.

Still very much around are Krystle Johnson ( what a cross for the winner in the cup final) Keira Walsh (injured for a while and a new player but only 19 I think and real quality), Chelsea Nightingale,Emma Lipman,Tasha Flint. So we have a blend of plenty of new players but still some of the ones still around.

So we have brought in plenty but other teams are changing their teams a lot as well. No idea how much we pay for them though or how much we pay them either.I gather it's not fantastic money but they can earn a lot lot more through sponsorships

Thoroughly enjoyed this game and was impressed. My mate used to manage Arsenal ladies alongside Vic so saw a lot of early women's footy. Arse were streets ahead. But now its a lot more equal with what looks to me like big improvements in stamina, individual skills and patterns of team play. I was particularly impressed by our power at headers and in tackles and the pace at which we got forward. We were very athletic down our right. The two teams were well matched which wasn't the case in the past. Remember watching the ill named Doncaster Belles. Fuckin hell! So looking forward to seeing some more of this.

THanks Doug!

Would you have any clue as to how many of the players are pros and how many are on amateur contracts?
