Big Phil Caicedo

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Big Phil Caicedo

Postby john@staustell » Thu Dec 31, 2009 10:53 am

Obviously Big Phil is still stuck out in Lisbon with his less than fruitful season-long loan (despite rumours of him being sent back). Both Lisbon & Phil want a way out, so step forward two clubs completely broke who need forwards - Hull City and Malaga.

These two clubs are apparently now 'competing' for his services by taking over the loan from Sporting, presumably whoever pays them the most beans or something!

Hull would of course have a dream ticket of Caicedo & Benjani!!!

Haha would actually love to see that, could be quite interesting, 30 goals between them?!

Only if they were playing a game every day of the year.

I think the the three of them could keep Hul up!
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

I don't understand why Phil Brown is lusting after all these crap strikers. Watching Hull's last few games, defense would seem to be their biggest issue.

Almost the front line we would have had if the takeover hadn't happened. Makes you really wonder how far we have come in so short a time...

i think big phil is a good player and would do a necessary job for hull, keep them up at least. he could prove himself an absolute nughtmare to pay against, like kevin davies but with the skill to match

After the job he did for us last yr, I still don't see why so many give him shit. Obviously we've stepped it up a notch this season, but last yr he did a solid job, scored a few and really started to find himself.

I like big Phil - we have just moved up a league this year.

But unlike Benj, I still think being Phil could develop into a top striker - a Drogba type (no seriously) - I would not want to lose him from our books

There is definitely ability & power with Big Balls Phil but what he needs is a basic understanding of how to play football, which for some reason applies to most players in the Ecuador national team. They play like kids on a school playground, shooting from 40 yds when team mates are unmarked in the box etc. They seem to have quite a few big, strong, fast, athletic players with decent skill but no fucking idea what to do & very greedy on the ball.

Spanish media are now all giving Caicedo to Malaga as a done deal (change of loan).
