Yeah slap me silly, I almost fell asleep during maureen's post-match interview, if not for that ridiculous statement he made about us being the best in the 1st half only. He's really a walking sedative, aint he?

Mourinhos so full of bullshit, such a bad loser.

I have to say though I love watching his interviews when things don't go his way.

Just sat in the car coming away from the match. Brilliant performance from everyone. The Mang is quality! Maybe he needed us to make a big signing to get the weight off his shoulders. Last season he got a lot of stick from the press which must have messed his head up. Hopefully he'll continue to kick on from these two games and Pellets won't change him and Komps.
Kolarov put some wicked balls in to the box as usual. Sagna seems like a different player to last year! And he was a freebie! Navas put a shift in.

One player I still can't stand is Nasri. He did the best Nigel Clough impression a couple of times today which pissed me off! Looks like he's carrying a bit of extra weight as well.

All in all - brilliant result and great performance

To a man we were better. All over the pitch all game long. Had a ten minute spell start of the second half where we weathered a gust (not gonna even call it a storm) and back on to dominating them for the remainder after that.

Rocking atmosphere in the south stand, my new home. Fernandinho man of the match for me but could have been any one of eleven (Joe just for having great hair)

Even an hour on a rail replacement bus will be enjoyable after that! Magnificent from one to eleven today!

Did the ref have a massive agenda today? I ask because at the match it seemed like Chelsea got absolutely everything first half and most of the second until we were out of sight. At first I thought the ref was just really shit, but then at one point he over ruled the linesman who was closest to the play to give Chelsea a throw. Add that to him failing to book Costa when he dived on the edge of our area I now assume he had an agenda? Because no one can be that bad at decision making!

Can't believe Sky Sports match feed were saying that Fernandino's elbow to Costa was a definite red card. Such crap. Was it even a booking? HArd to tell on the Spanish stream I had....

Fernandinho my MOTM. Was everywhere. Elbowing Costa was massively accidentally amazing. The goal was icing.

Big big day for him. He was the difference for me.

cheers

I was pleased with Sterling today. He's clearly not in the Aguero/Silva/Yaya class but by playing with them he'll only improve.

He had the beating of Ivanovic most of the time and created a lot of space for our other attackers.

He looked disappointed to be taken off but I see that as a good thing. He's got a lot to learn but am pleased with his start so far.

We benefited as much as we lost out, I thought. Maybe the advantage of replays and analysis is giving me a different picture.

The manner in which we won cannot be underplayed by the media. Having to substitute John Terry at half time because he was given the run around by Aguero is a massive blow for Chelsea. They are basically admitting their defence is sub standard.

The fact the their goalie was their best player with three or four good saves speaks volumes. We could have honestly had four before Aguero scored. Their midfield was given the runaround and the defence was chasing shadows.

Diego Costa is the playing version of Mourinho. Simply, an utter cunt of a man. One hopes his hamstrings go again after September 1st.

Enough of those twats. We were fantastic. From the first kick to the last we were hungry, focused, sharp, pacy and we believed in ourselves. Pellegrini deserves a mention as he out tacticed Mourinho. The bus was parked and we simply bulldozed through it. So many candidates for best player and it is churlish to single just one. They all had their role and they all played better than their counterpart. When a side does that, there is only one outcome.

Top of the league is fairly meaningless at this stage, but being five points clear already of our main rivals is a superb position to be in. We are playing as a team, for each other again and we look like scoring lots of goals. Brilliant day

Just back from a very bouncy Etihad! What a game, dominant from start to finish!

To answer regarding the ref, he was woeful in the first half! Some of his decision were amatuerish! Still, the highlight was when Cahill went down and we were shouting that the Dr was getting sacked in the morning, and maybe Ramires celebrating his offside goal whilst we're all laughing at him.
Tick tock tick tock.

Fair enough. I didn't want to go in to work shouting my mouth off and being wrong.
