I also don't think his distribution is all that bad. At least he doesn't think he's better with the ball than he actually is either.

Quite often De gea, Lloris or Mignolet will be put under a bit of pressure and kick it low and hard down the middle and straight to an opposition player. It is rare that Joe kicks it that poorly that the other team has an opportunity to score straight away.

He doesn't give away goals from it, so he's not completely shit but he puts it in the stands under no really pressure far too often.

He's stopping goals, which is the thing he's paid to do. The rest is icing on the cake.
5 clean sheets. We can't complain.

I'm not complaining, simply contributing to a discussion about if he's a legend/world class made on the football section of the board.

It is a bit of a strange thing footy fans do where you're either shit or world class. Some of us can discuss the varying levels of ability without going I either extreme.

Strange, I didn't see anyone discussing whether he was world class or shit.

Perhaps you can help me then, can you point out where anyone said he was shit or world class in this thread?

I said his kicking is shit. Hold on. Lemme check.

It's still shit.

Cheers

I have read the whole thread.

NQDP stated he is a legend. No one mentioned world class until you did.

I agree with your point about football fans in general having extreme views one way or the other but the vast majority on this board are above all that media driven nonsense.

Anyhoo, I don't want to fall out over it, I'm sorry I even mentioned it now. Peace.

Not falling out mate, don't stress.

Nobody said he's shit, I was inferring that the poster acted like I had by offering an area to work on.

The world class term may not have been used but this kind of infers it....

Another City legend.

prefer him to deGea

Firmly in top 5 goalkeepers in the world

I agree

Most clubs in the world would want him as their keeper

Well, I don't know about the world class bit. He's certainly improved by the evidence showing so far. If he keeps up these levels of performance I don't suppose you could argue against it.
Long may it continue, is all I say.

Has really showed what he is made of since Pellegrini dropped him, who also deserves praise for how he handled that situation. Compare this to LVG's master man management skills. I know, I know we can only dream of having such a fantastic manager.
