We had the game done we missed the chances, that you have to take and paid the price. Overall we dominated the game, and an I talian team does what they do. Survive and nick it. 1-1 great 1-2 piss poor result. As for Nasri, again he bottles a challenge they win it cross goal. He was at fault and he knew it ! Goals change games.

What challenge did he bottle? Pogba has the ball and Ferna challenges him, he lays it out wide, Nasri runs to challenge the player out wide ( Evra? ) he lays it back to Pogba who is in acres of space because after the Ferna challenge he drops back whilst Ferna drops back towards our goal.

That goal came about because Silva lost the ball 20 yards from their area and Nasri could'nt be arsed to track Evra's run if he had Pogba has no outball to Evra and would have had to pass sideways to Hernanes iirc.

Haven't read through the full thread so someone may have said this already, but still think we should have signed another striker. Bony is clearly not good enough. I didn like Dzeko , but this guy is certainly no better than him, if not worse.
Still cant believe Pellegrini, experienced as he is, risked long term injury by panicking and bringing Sergio on - stupid decision.

Dzeko terorised this Juve in Roma game and they really dominate them and press them all the game, but Roma play with fast wingers put Totti on bench play with one creator and one DM who can pass like Ferna -Pjanic and Radja ,but where Garcia outsmart Allegri is puting De Rossi on CD Geting defender who can play and build a wall around Juventus. Pellegrini play like we are playing Norwich last nigh and even after the lead he did not change a thing .Yap one more thing even with that setup we where better just did not score goals , that is how much shit is Juve at the moment I mean for Juventus they are shit

Kompany won't be 100% fit for weeks, he'll make mistakes, put pressure on himself, make more mistakes. Both him and Peller will still want him to play.
Silva wont have a full range of passing or 100% effort because he's carrying a knock
Aguero won't be shooting unless its a tap in
Pellers won't play KBD for some fucking stupid reason of pride.
Navas will start playing upfront on his own

when looking at the match as a whole the result was not that surprising. sure we dominated possession but we did nothing with it. we were too slow and lacked creation. plus, we played most of the game with 8 or 9 players. Bony was utterly useless and contributed nothing of note; when he starts up top City look a shadow of themselves. Nasri wasn't as bad but he was pretty bad as well. i don't remember him offering anything worthwhile. Raheem should've won this match. how can your finishing be that poor? those bullshit weak daisy cutter shots? come on.

We lacked creation yet Raheem should've won it, how? Did we create something for him to win the match? But we lacked creation?

Well I'm just about getting over last night. It was scandalous. I queued for ages to get a balti pie and chips but they ran out of chips just before kick off. I kept hold of my 6 quid until half time. These chips miraculously turned up at half time but after 15 mind of queing up they ran out of balti pies. Really pissed me off, I couldn't really celebrate when we scored. It was just that kind of night.... a bit unfortunate all round.

On the other hand we looked slow and lumbering from very early on, we were still pressing but we were far to cautious getting the ball forward which means we lost a lot of our attacking threat. He's not Van Ghoul. A few players had shit days at the office. I wasn't impressed with Juve. We let ourselves down. It wasn't an amazing tactical display that got us beat.

I think Pellegrini probably left things to the players, so I would say an assumption (that they would carry on as they have been doing) was the problem rather than specific preparation. Juventus were better prepared, Pogba also crossed the ball for their goal from out wide on our right, in a hole between the attack and our defence - I would say this was deliberate and a tactic - possibly prompted by their manager at halftime- I would have done the same thing - Nasri doesn't have the pace of Navas to cover him if the ball gets turned over quickly so it opens up an opportunity. I get the feeling we were out-thought from the first whistle to the last. They also had the benefit of luck, which is a mental thing, if you are prepared for something you tend to be confident so lucky things happen, if you're not prepared you have an element of doubt so unlucky things happen. To sum up, probably our biggest weakness is the mental side of things IN MY OPINION.

Also, their tricks broke up the play and gave them resting time. They know how to work the refs like this. Even to have lost 1-0 would not be a problem for them.

Whilst a cracking finish, their second goal was dead lucky, coming off Kola perfectly for them.

They had luck yes, but there was more to it than luck, they were better defensively. Often when we had the ball there were 11 of them defending, their striker showed up deep on the flanks in front of their full backs a lot. In truth better organised better drilled, they defended like Italian teams of old.

When we took the lead I thought it was deserved and then we created a couple more great chances over the next few minutes. On another day they go in and we win. Yes, we switched off a couple of times and we looked a bit leggy late on, but overall I thought we were the better side.
