And now Barca can comfortably roll around on the pitch clutching at feigned injuries to close this out.

That went rather well tonight. Arsenal and Chelsea lose.

Hope it's not a horror show for us tomorrow.

if it is you can bet it will be nearly impossible to progress unless we run the table from there. Worst case for us would obv be to lose and have Juve and Sevilla draw. Though it would keep the top team within touching distance at 4 pts it would pretty much guarantee imho that we'd need to win out to get into the knockout stages. Early days it would seem for an emotional response, but we need to lay down a marker here and make something happen for all 3 pts.

We'd be in quite a pickle if we lose.

I know I shouldn't but I'm sat on the ferry absolutely pissing my sides at the Chavs and Arse.

Me too beef. If we can win tomorrow that will brighten our week right up. Arsenal to beat scum at the weekend and things suddenly look better.

Try Carlsberg.
They don't do 'a week in football', but if they did......

that's right. i think all the English clubs would have to balls it up this season and then do similar next season again with sustained Italian success to force a change. Tho we're close in coefficients, it would only take one English club to make a decent run to maintain things i think.

It's math fuckwittery tho to try and predict i believe.

English sides having a poor start to the champions league. What's the common denominator, too many hard games too quick?
Like to see sides in the champions league not playing the weekend before, but of course that can't happen.

I mentioned that somewhere on here that I thought the competitiveness of the PL is a disadvantage for English teams in Europe.
However it is also what makes it the most attractive to watch. That is what is attracting the big money coming it's way.
See if that becomes an advantage giving them more financial clout in the coming years.

Arsenal bottom with two defeats and two games against Munich coming up. Doesn't get much bleaker than that

True.
The one thing I've noticed is that even what you would regard as ordinary teams, just work a lot harder than we are used to seeing City do in Europe. Porto were in Chelsea's faces, Olympiakos didn't have to as much against Arsenal, but they still closed down quicker than we do.
I'm watching Barca now and although I know they win in the end, Leverkeusen are working their butts off and deserving of their 1-0 at the moment.
I just don't think we play at a high enough intensity and underestimate some of the opposition in Europe.
It has been our undoing. Taking our foot off the gas when we think we are comfortable.

Christ. Barcelona could have been 3-0 down at one stage.
Leverkeusen didn't take their chances.
