The news that Platini is caught up in all this is better news than I could have imagined. I would fucking love this to all blow up in France's face, given the fact that he clearly played a leading role in Russia and Qatar getting the world cups and that the French govt almost certainly traded votes for arms.
If both these cunts can be hung by the same noose, it can only be good news for football in the long run, though I admit to being rather surprised (though I probably shouldn't be) that he has been caught over such a blatant bung.

Reading between the lines I'm not sure there's enough to get Platini though - the Swiss line seems to be it's a payment that's not in FIFA's interest (so they're focusing on their own jurisdiction). Then Platini comes out yelling about his contract. I just hope it's enough to ensure Platini is too tainted to get the FIFA gig or that it leads to something else cast iron which will bring him down.

I suspect you're right, the problem is that if he isn't charged with anything, 'tainting' him probably isn't enough given that it's the same unprincipled bent cunts who voted in blatter time after time will still be voting for the next president anyway

Any chance that today's game will have to be replayed on the strength of these allegations?

Please, no. With the same team it could be worse!

Platini gets 1.3 million 9 years after work he alleges he did for FIFA as a wait for it football consultant. Why does the President of the Federation of International Football Associations need a football consultant and what exactly did he do for that money.
The cash was handed over three months after Qatar got the World Cup.
As Anthony Kastrinakis says today on Sunday Supplement why did UEFA clear Olympiakos to play in the Champions League a day before their Chairman was charged with 5 counts of match fixing?

Indeed , just back from Frankfurt.
The NZZ reports that on Monday the Ethics committee will meet to review the money given to Twatini.
If it turns out that the man was incorrectly paid, Bladder will be suspended.
Btw the NZZ has a variety of reports today about FIFA. Any more interesting bits , i'll add to this comment
"Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs."

He will exert influence to keep his club nice and cosy. That's for sure.
He moved himself into this position as soon as the new money clubs came along. His plan is going perfectly so far. I'd hate to see him get in.
I just hope given the severity of the corruption at the top, that both FIFA and UEFA allow the proper guys in to rescue the situation and not the cunts who stood by and watched their bosses manipulate the game.

Mr Blatter's lawyer, Richard Cullen, said his client was going nowhere until a successor is appointed in February 2016.
A statement said: "While Coca Cola is a valued sponsor of FIFA, Mr Blatter respectfully disagrees with its position and believes firmly that his leaving office now would not be in the best interest of FIFA nor would it advance the process of reform and therefore, he will not resign."
This cunt is unbelievable
