Navas

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Navas

Postby shortagain » Thu Oct 22, 2015 2:29 pm

Any news on Navas after last night. He seem to damage himself bringing the ball under control & looked very lame when he passed the ball to Toure & we know what happened after that. Navas crumpled to the ground & was picked up by Joe who went to acknowledge his part in the goal & he was still limping badly afterwards when Kevin was subbed.

We don't need any more injuries to midfielders

Where did that come out of.
He was dropped for the Newcastle match. Came on at half time, played out of his skin and basically reclaimed his spot, as he's been consistently one of our better performers.

I could probably count his poor games on one hand - even when he's not at his best his head never drops. When he doesn't make the first eleven I'm not aware of a single bad word coming from him or his representatives. The perfect Man City player.

not wishing for him to be injured but if he is maybe its a stroke of luck that will cause Manuel to push Yaya up and put the 2 Ferns behind him with Sterling and Kevin on the flanks for the derby.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

It would be perfect cosmic destiny, for Jesus to score a winning goal in tomorrow's derby, at the home of the Red Devils!

Blind could be marking him, if he is Jesus should have a field day!

I think they've been playing that Rojo left back recently from what a couple of rags have said in work. Either way I'd fancy Navas against most left backs for pace.

His laughable scoring attempts apart, Jesus has been better of late. When Sergio is out of the team there is more scope for some proper crosses, no pun intended

Jesus had a good shot on target & created one of the few saves that De Gea had to make. Navas might have had more goal attempts, if he hadn't been thuggishly kicked & stomped by Marcos Rojo, who should have been sent off with a tarjeta roja!

I've had a go at Navas in the past, but have to say the past month he seems to be looking up for a team mate a lot more before crossing the ball. Really improved his game, so he's shut me up.
May it carry on!

Rob Pollard has written a nice feature about Jesus Navas, that seemed worth sharing:
