Our last title win was massively down to Dzeko and I'll always remember him fondly for that.
I loved his performance against Spurs.

A Bony perfect hat trick against villa is now nailed on. All goals will be first touches, just to put this place in a state of confusion.

Come on wilf.

On Edin he is part of our History. he ruined the scum and the scum fans he emptied the swamp and roasted camel gob to boot. He also fucked my brothers mind up big time.Along with all of the players from the 6-1 So a great in my eyes Plus I never forget the wives Birthday 23/10. And neither do my family.
Bony is gonna be better IMHO.

I think they both bring/brought another dimension to the team. I've defended Bony saying that until he gets good health and game time we can't judge him fairly. It's unrealistic to expect a shoe in for Sergio, they don't come along too often. I do have an issue with us not having a 4th recognised striker though.

I think the twice in three years thing is over and they will never have to play it again. Ever.

Anyway my point of posting this is just that as much shit as I'm giving Bony, well earned I believe, I still wouldn't want the current Jayko instead of him. That's all.

Did the Bosnian spasmoidal one contribute to some silverware? More than just a little bit. A hero. Just not our hero anymore, thankfully.

Cheers

"JAYKO" is not even close to how Edin's name is pronounced... Your own silly nickname for him obviously.

If we had retained Edin Džeko (pronunciation: [ˈedin ˈd͡ʒeko], in addition to Aguero, Bony, Iheanacho, we would still have Edin's height that is occasionally needed against taller defenders. City would have had 4 completely different types of strikers to try different tactics & formations with... and we mistakenly sold Džeko, a prolific striker, for an unacceptable low price!
Thankfully, City have also added new goalscorers, that should be able to replace the loss of Džeko's goals.

Džeko and Pjanic make a great combo & Edin will finally get the playing time that he needs.
Moving to Roma may ultimately be better for Edin's career, but City could have used some Džeko goals, during the Manchester derby... There were 8 players new to that derby & it showed in the lack of grudge attacks & goals needed.

I'm greedy & I always want to retain every player that can reliably score multiple goals for City... but Edin Džeko was not a Txiki Begiristain signing & always would have been on trial, if he had stayed.

So, I wish Edin a very successful career, wherever he plays... I will continue to miss his special goals and especially the funny videos he & Kolarov provided... For me, Edin Džeko will always remain a cherished City legend...

Dear WhyAlwaysHalfRetard,

His name is certainly pronounced 'Edd-inn Jay-ko.'

And don't go find some likeminded spasm who agrees that I'm wrong because the fact is that they're wrong.

Also your post was horrible. It was so fucking long and tedious. Jesus fuck. Pay an editor or change your name to WhyAlwaysTed.

Hey, Doomie, you may need your own hearing checked, if you seriously think that Jay-ko & Džeko sound exactly the same!
... You also may need your reading comprehension checked, if you think my comments sound anything like the much-debated Ted Hughes... For a start, I do remember that unlike me, Ted was NOT a great admirer of Edin Džeko!

Also, I'm sorry if my long-winded post bored you... Yes, when it comes to City, I can get carried away & forget the art of brevity...

It is pronounced Jayko. You can spell it how you want and put dibs and dabs above some letters.....but it's still pronounced Jayko by the Bosnians.

At the risk of getting personally slaughtered again, I posted a video clip of Edin pronouncing his own name for us... It actually sounds more like Djecko, but the hardest part for non-Balkan people is getting the Dž sound correct.

Call Edin any name you want though... the joy of discussing football is that everyone has different opinions about every footballer in the world.

I did listen to that and it does sound like Jayko, but you would probably need to hear me say that. I did check this and it is Jayko with a very bass pronunciation. I went to Slovakia and I do know a Slovakian well and she tells me you also pronounce that Scouse centre half as Skertchel. It's the ch sound after the 't' just out of interest.
