It was a penno but it should have been down the keepers throat before that.

Maybe mate but it's as clever to draw contact in the box and that's what he did.

If the ref did his job we'd be a goal up thanks to sterling.

Sorry, but there was nothing clever about that move. He had a great scoring chance, which he squandered by cutting inside.

If the ref has just given a free kick against Otter for kicking thin air then that's a pen.

Yes, but still far from stone wall.

I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

That don't make it a penalty. We used to be better than the shitty "but there was contact" brigade. Sadly we appear to be losing that side of us.

Sterling has dived twice. Whether he took a flick, scrape or a bloody gust of wind is irrelevant to me, it makes him a cheat. Anyone who has said as much about ronaldo, young, Nani etc is a hypocrite to say otherwise now.
Tracking back is overrated.

So you're saying that if the ref gave the penalty as we all now know he should have, then sterling wasn't the biggest single factor in a goal??

Bit of a sluggish half but we're getting the chances. Should've been a penalty to Sterling and the yellow for Otamendi was a bit harsh.

One thing, they keep saying that Yaya is playing further up with the 2 Ferns covering it midfield. It's not the case, Fernandinho is the one who is being released forward with Yaya venturing up every now and then when the game takes him there.

Need to pick it up 2nd half or we're in trouble of sending the ground to sleep. Villa are already nodding, don't want to get that Rag tag.

Don't think we've played that badly. Up against a team trying to impress a new manager. Villa are closing down the space well. They haven't created much. They will tire in the second half

Hold on, falling over when there is no contact is cheating.

Falling over when there is clear contact is drawing attention to a foul.

There is a big fucking difference between that penalty and Ashley fucking young ffs
