I believe it has to be done by a mod? I can think of 4 off the top of my head who have done so (past and present).

Sparty did, but i cannot remember his original (iirc)
NT changed his due to moving & was originally a geographical name like mine, iirc
Ian Bishops Haircut became Beeks (before your time)

Oh and of course Danny, who chose to use a poll/vote to become Bingo ( i cannot remember his other choices)

I am sure that Dev was somebody else & there is the continued speculation over Moses identity...
