Lawro and DC predict........

Surprise, surprise, spunk tache Lawro goes for a draw. Has he ever predicted a loss for those cnts??

Liverpool got a little bit bullied by Crystal Palace in their last match, and it was not the first time that has happened against teams that set out to play that way against them.

That will not be the way Manchester City will approach things, and I think the Reds will fare a bit better at the Etihad, where they have not won in the league since 2008 despite some decent performances.

Sergio Aguero could be back from injury to lead City's attack, which would obviously help their chances.

But the way Liverpool will set up, and the fact City will let them play too, makes me think Jurgen Klopp's side could get something from this game.

CITY 1 v 1 Dippers

Merson predicts a win but has to throw in a jibe or 2 - the cnt

I think it's a nice game for Liverpool, because nobody expects them to win. They went to Chelsea and won, then lost at home to Palace - it's obvious there's a lot of work to be done and Jurgen Klopp knows that. Man City are top of the league even without Sergio Aguero and David Silva in recent weeks. I think they win this game 2-0. They've coped quite well without Aguero, even though Wilfried Bony has been relatively quiet.

In the future it is something they need to address, but it is hard. When you have all that money and you go out and attempt to buy someone, whoever they go out and buy is not going to play as much as they want. If you go out and pay £50m for a top centre-forward, will they want to go to Man City and not get a game?

I don't see any problems with what Merson has said there. And the mustachioed genius didn't back Liverpool to lose a game under Dalglish in the season we pipped the rags to the title. Can't speak for after that.

To be honest I can't remember the last time Lawro has had us down for a loss. I think he's a bit of a closet blue lately, since Mario left anyway.

What's baffling is that he managed to string two paragraphs together, only read the first line though.

If Lawro thinks the red scouse will lose, he predicts a draw. If he thinks they will draw or win he predicts a win. Can't blame him, he would get too much Twitter abuse otherwise.

You've got to love the 'Nobody expects them to win' line, really sets tomorrow's stories up and gives them an easy out clause if needed.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".
