the only positive i can take from today is that arsenal lost

We also have two very winnable matches coming in the league. no reason to panic, especially with Aguero back

No positives today, even as a Blue. When you lose 4-1 at home to a Dipper team who couldn't find the goal previously, you're are well and surely in the shit.

What's that, 1 win in 4; 5 points from the last 12. It's just killing our confidence.

What we were missing today was some composure in midfield against a very well organised and drilled liverpool midfield...,,that composure is David Silva. I still think we will win the league and the fa cup and the capital one cup and the champions league so not all is lost !!!

Quiet tonight. Strangely I'm not pissed off, just very angry, and if I'd paid for that I'd be fucking fuming.

I stopped watching at 0-3, not because of the scoreline but because of how we were playing - lacklustre passing and a formation that was completely unsuited to the choice of players on the pitch. I can't speak about the rest of the match but it was around 60 percent Pellegrini's fault and 40 percent the player's fault at the 0-3 point. If he doesn't know the weaknesses of his squad by now and work around them then he never will.

Someone needs to call me a tool for my pre-match cocky put-down of Liverpool by the way.

Manager got team selection wrong from the start and then says he would pick same 11 again for the match. Was clear after 20 mins that once again Yaya in a two man central partnership doesn't work against a decent team. He doesn't have the legs energy hunger whatever you want to call it to do that job any more. Fair enough he should work harder but the manager picks that side again, gets out numbered in the centre and we get taken apart.
Not a knee jerk reaction , it's been happening for over a year now, out thought in the big games and beaten.
Why is Ottamendi on the bench. When Kompany is injured why not play the other centre half who has been playing instead of throwing 2 defenders who haven't had match sharpness lately. didn't make sense from the start.
Not blaming it all on the manager. Too many players having poor games, Sagna worst game of season but he had played well all season and passing all over pitch was sloppy.
This game should have been the priority not Wednesday night , yes we want to top the group but we are already through. Last 2 games have missed great chance to build a lead and now we find ourselves below the rags.
How many more times are we going to start yaya in 2 man partnership get over run before he learns. Fernandinho for me has been the best player this season. Leaving him on bench makes no sense, if he and Ottamendi are fit enough for bench they are fit enough to start.
Next Saturday game really become must win. The recent run and lack of goals in league from open play are becoming a real concern.

Kelechi has bags of enthusiasm but still looks too raw to be completely relied upon. It is the one thing Pellegrini is getting right.

TBH I thought kelechi was shocking. His decision making for the 30 mins was woeful and I am a kelechi fan.

Most times after a defeat I can find some positives. After Kun scoring in his comeback game and getting a good hour of game time, I'm struggling after this one. Pellegrini got it so wrong it's untrue. We had the shit kicked out of us and we got exactly what we deserved. To have one eye on Europe when we have already qualified is just rank stupidity. I thought we had moved on from doing crap like that, obviously not.

Bizarrely, the fact we were battered by what in reality is an inferior side, might actually do us some good in the long term. There are certain combinations of players that just do not work and if they can be spotted by mere fans on here, then one hopes our coaching staff will have picked up on it too. The dressing room needs to have a good, long, hard look in the mirror and be brutally honest. We were shit today. We were shit against Villa. We were shit against the rags. We were shit at Spuds. Since Kompany picked up his first knock we have looked off the pace in a number of games, it's not just a one off today. I for one am a bit concerned. I still think we have the wherewithal to win the league, but I'm not as confident as a month ago

True but he was right to appeal for the penalty even though it would of papered over the cracks.

I thought we would be in trouble as soon as I saw the starting line up and shape, but didn't expect such a debacle. The poor shape was made much worse by the players seeming unaware of what the plan was or indeed who their team mates were. Sterling, Navas, KDB and Sergio were barely in the game for 30 mins. Ideally we would have started with the three in midfield that we ended with; if neither Fernandinho or Deplh was ready for 90 mins we should have started with one of them alongside Fernando and then swapped them at HT. Second major error was not changing it earlier; it was obvious that it wasn't going to work at 2-0 and an earlier change might have avoided the third, although in truth they could have had more.

Positives: 1. Sergio scored, 2. no new injuries, 3. Delph looked promising, 4. its only November, so not a title decider 5. Rags are still not top of the table

From what I saw every time he got near the ball he just hoofed it Dunnie style.
