I love the way the Europa is perceived as a punishment.

And the media wonder why it's considered in such low regard.

I think it's fair to say that tonight was 'typical City'. Take that you rag cunts.

The first half was shit, but the second, my word.

For a long time now, we failed to see the famouse half time team talk that Pellers was well known for at Malaga. I don't know what he said to them, but they looked amazing in the second half. Like a fucking tsunami all over the german side.

Great second half.
We just kept turning the screw and created so many chances.
I have to admit I wasn't a fan of the substitutions but it's just proved me totally wrong - I thought it might upset our rhythm that we were getting into but as always when we are at our best it was Yaya and Dave dictating things and making chances for others.

Well done team and a big well done to Pellers.

Was anyone down in block 115 in south stand?
Whole load of German fans in there and it got a bit frantic in the first half. The stewards and cops were slow to react and seemed afraid to get involved.

He got the message then lol..dropped for a false forward....if he didn't react he was in for another slagging off.

I think the fact that we were piling forward till the 3rd minute of injury time spoke volumes about what we are capable of....the ball was coming into the penalty area every few seconds.
If we had played like this over the last 2 premiership games then we wouldnt have fuckign lost them ffs!!

Well, I'm not going to betray my principles, I still hate the CL; but tonight I hate it a little less than usual.

Such a pity I won't be in the Sale office till Friday. Take that you fuckers (and I rarely swear in the forum).

Like the first 10 mins of Gladiator in the second half. Unleash Hell indeed.

We played some stuff.

To be fair tho gladbags tactic of sitting back and asking for it was like Rocky begging Apollo Creed to punish him.

Don't hate the competition mate, hate those that regulate it.

I've always watched it when we weren't there, I'm not going to give up now. It's the likes of the garlic muncher and his G14 bosses that have created this and if we turn their custard, it'll be better than winning the PL.

You're a Blue, winning against the odds is a real turn-on.

We all happily joined in with the song "we only sing when we're winning ". One of the most enjoyable games for a long time. Made all the sweeter by the Sevilla and rag results.

Interested to hear what those of you at the game thought changed.
You don't always get the full picture from the couch.(rarely, I'd say)
My impression first half was that we were playing a very fluid front three, with none of KDB, Raheem or Silva occupying any one position. It was great at times, as in the opening goal, but quite often our passing was not accurate enougjh and on losing the ball, they showed that quick short passing through us, caught our full backs out of position, too high up the field.
Particularly, Clichy got turned a few times as high up as the halfway line.
With them then running at our centre backs Otamendi was inclined to come out of position to meet them. Big gaps appeared all over and the panic that we're now familiar with ensued.

Second half, I thought we came out with a better attitude and a more rigid shape with Sterling left and Kev on the right. This offered better cover to our full backs making us more solid Nd we didn't lose the ball as much.

I thought Kev looked like he needs a rest and when the subs came on it gave us afocal point in Bony, who had to be marked and stretched their tiring defense. We injected more pace on the wings and they fell apart as they got tired.

Am I close.

Must have been loads of fun and supporting our club when in need means something. The first half, hearing the German fans chanting and taking it to us was not fun. I asked; why are some of our fans so against this competition? It's bent? And none of us say the prem is almost every week? Eff that ish, fight till the day we die. Players feed off of fan support. The first half sounded like an away match. Credit to the players and pellegrini for persevering too.

While I get our fans' frustration about uefa, etc. I am not certain we are
Doomed to be left out and treated poorly forever. It is honestly upsetting to read some us to be in a selective mode preferring the premier league to the point we don't care about this competition when it is very important to the players and club and to shut up the haters.

Meanwhile sterling haters enjoy the taste of crow.

Just back from the game. Absolutely floated down the M1 with a big cheesy grin on my face.
Honestly BMG are a great team with fantastic supporters. What a noise they made!!

Very lucky to be only 2-1 down in the first half. Clichy didn't seem to realise he was not playing left back and Mangala was er well Mangala.

Tin tin ran twice as much as every one else and was knackered by half time
Sterling kept losing the ball in the first half which put even more pressure on our fragile defence. He made amends however!

Incredible. After 50 years supporting them the buggers can still surprise you. My lad and I actually hugged!

After the depression of Stoke the euphoria of BMG.

It's a funny old game Saint.

shocking change for the 2nd half. as time wore on i half expected another Villa.

i heard the commentators mention the stat about Gladbah conceding a lot in the final 15 mins of CL matches but thought nothing of it.
yet, it proved incredibly relevant.

people may blame Pellegrini for picking Clichy as RB or blame Clichy for the 2 goals (and he did look "leggy") but, for me, Otamendi was at fault for both goals. he needlessly charged way out of position and left a massive gap at the back. Kompany does the same thing; Mangala too. i wonder if its something taught at training. but no way would you ever see the Juventus defenders (widely considered the best back line) doing that.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.
