Actually, according to the spanish Media (from Madrid), AS and Marca, Simeone was the name they were talking at Chelsea the last few days.

Seems more logical, but from the summer, of course.

Sacking Maureen is only bad news for us. They could put a seat warmer in and go after Pep in the summer, they could get Simeone now and neither of those scenarios are good for us. Also Ancelotti is penciled in for the Bayern job but he's not doing anything for the next 6 months. Maybe he wouldn't go back to Chelsea, but if he does expect that team to turn things around quick smart.

Hiddink must be almost nailed on as an interim. He's done the job before and did it well, he's available and, according to reports, up for it. Of course Abramovich would like Guardiola next season but I doubt he'd take the job. If Pep goes I think he'll come here but I wouldn't rule out him staying at Bayern. Simeone's my bet as Mourinho's replacement.

I wouldn't bet against it. It would possibly allow him to continue getting his pay-off, as he wouldn't be in football management.

Mourinho is finished as a Premier League manager and even the rags will not have anything to do with him after his second spell in charge of Chelsea. Hiddink will not have the same impact either, Rodgers would be the better interim appointment, but his ego will not allow that and would want the job on a full time basis.

Benitez went there on a short term basis and look what he did and where is he now?

I would love to find out what really happend there, to be honest, how he lost them and why.

My bet is on Eva. Somebody was shagging here and Mou found out.

Not the deciding factor but It's probably not down to the players shagging Eva but more to do with a staff member (an important one) who wasn't brought in by Mourinho, with the current squad trusting and respecting her and who had been treated like shit by the sacked one.

That's a good shout lol. Maybe Hazard? Would actually make some sense.

Either way the handling of her seems like the most likely thing to trigger a significant change relations between Mourinho and the team that we know of.

Utd are desperate to be relevant, and wasn't the big issue that Ferguson should have let Jose been the real "chosen one."

I doubt Pep will chose them over us, and Ancelloti seems more likely to go elsewhere too (Bayern or back to Chelsea).

Ancelotti will go to Bayern, almost 100% certain of that.

I wonder if it is finally the time for Chelsea to appoint Mike Bassett.
