Would the Rags sack Butthead to appoint Maureen?

I almost hope so. The circus that would ensue would be brilliant. The rags are shite and you can't polish a turd as they say. However, next season would be a different matter.

Then again, if Mourinho has gone to the rags, then Pep won't.

The rags will only sack Butthead if they miss out on a top 4 place.

I'd think so. Unless they really feel the squad is still "in transition," and he has to play so carefully (boringly) since last season their defence was so poor. This is something I am struggling to understand considering all of the money spent, how things have gone with Di Maria, Rojo, Depay, Herrera. Okay Rooney fell off a cliff, but he wasn't that great as a striker anymore anyway, more of an attacking mid/CM, but that meant Mata on the wing which is not his strength. Young doesn't even play, nor Schniderlin, and Mata is still sometimes misused. Okay, relying on Martial, who just turned 20 I think, is pushing it, but why did he sell Hernandez who keeps banging in goals at a very high rate.

They want some glamour and to be talked about among the best, not a has been club as they are looking more and more like (reinforced by the comments made by Bournemouth players about their attitude before the game). It's a risk, but who else can they get?

I think this will happen in the summer, tbh.

They'd go from one form of boring football to another. Rag fans would love it though.

I wonder if Pellers has popped the cork today, seeing Maureen off should've brought a smile to his Grinner.

Fair enough, but this is not at all far from unrealistic.

Spurs are a major threat, Leicester is top, Everton seem like they could challenge as well with their best players being young and improving, Palace has some real quality now, even freakin Liverpool could be top 4 (okay, maybe that's pushing it).

You don't think Pep would consider the rags? I'd have thought they would be appealing to Pep, given the fan base, the history, the finances and the worldwide appeal they somehow still have. I'd also hope he looks past that and sees them for the dogshit club they are, with leeches for owners, twats for fans, shit squad and dwindling influence in the PL, and come to us.

Pep's agent will drop rumours that will make it seem like he will go to Chelsea or Utd, but I think mostly to get higher wages from us. We are the better setup of the three at this point.

It doesn't sound far fetched but they weren't keen the first time round despite Mourinho being one of GPC's recommendations. On top of the fallout in his last two jobs and even with their desperation will give him a wide berth. His next job is more of rebuilding his reputation. In the rags current state it will finish him off. PSG, Monaco or Valencia might be top of his list.

Florentine Perez likes Mourinho so I don't think Real Madrid is out of the question despite all the talk about Zidane. Pep resisted Abramovich when he left Barca and the regime at the Bridge won't encourage him to change his mind, I would have thought. As far as the scum are concerned Woodward heavily briefed the Sumdays a couple of weeks that they didn't want Pep which won't have escaped his notice. Whoever goes there will always manage under the shadow of whisky nose. At City he would be making his own history. If he leaves Bayern I think he's heading here but will he leave? We'll soon find out.

All to do with the negatives you mention. The Glazers, with Woodward, I feel would be too much for PG, it looks like he wants a settled club that he can walk into and just be able to coach, letting others do the dayvti day business, including player acquisition. Txiki justs gets the wish list.

Just my personal thoughts mate. In his position, why would he want to go to a club where he has a lot of work to do?

Would it not be suicide for Perez to rehire him? I was under the impression the Madristas hated him.

I agree that ultimately I don't think he would end up there. I was merely suggesting he would give the idea due care and attention as to whether it would be the right project for him in his career at the moment before coming to the conclusion that it would not be a good idea for him to manage the rags.

Has he given any creedence to managing a national side before. Who is Spain's boss at the moment and are they likely to be in chart after Euro 2016?

Mou will wait for the rags job now. Hiddink for Chelsea.

Still can't see him going to United but kind of hope he does. It would be just the next leg in their manager merry go around and I think United fans would hate it really.

Yes, it was fun while it lasted. But when your best player walks off the pitch and refuses to perform for you any longer, there is only one thing going to happen as a result.

I too can't see the rags sacking LVG unless the top four slips out of reach; that's what did for Moyes. While the fans might want rid of him for being boring that won't cut any ice with the Glazers, but loss of CL revenue again would.

I don't think Jose will go to another PL club yet, he probably wants the dust to settle and rebuild his reputation somewhere else.

If Pep leaves Bayern I would expect Ancellotti to go there.

Moyesinho would of course be the ideal stand-in manager to shore up their leaky defence and instil some discipline.
