It's about time we had a City club in South America, and MP would be ideal to manage it.

I really think what Pep is doing is disrespectful. He did the same at Barcelona and the season was lost and maybe this will happen for Bayern now.

I saw them this weekend and they were really poor, they won, but played mediocre. How do you expect to perform good, when your manager announced in the middle of the season that he is leaving.

He will do the same if he comes here.

I think it is the opposite, you should announce that you are leaving at the end of the season, not in the middle of it, when you can really change the morale of the dressing room. Players are soft as fuck, not many will play the same knowing someone else is coming.

I mentioned this elsewhere, knowing that Pep is coming may lead to them upping their game in the hope they're still part of the squad next season.

It didn't bother the Bayern players under Heyncke(sp?) when they knew he was off and Guardiola was coming.

But it affected Barcelona and now Bayern,

I am not speaking about us, for us I think things are settled for a while now and if he is really coming, then everybody knows.

I am just speaking looking at the clubs where Pep was. Said he is leaving Barcelona, they had a bad season winning only the cup, then he did the same and I watched how Bayern played this weekend, they were so bad that even filth would have a chance with them. I think it is bad for the team he is managing, to for the team he is going too. If he comes here, he will do the same after three or four years.

I think you will find it was me who said they will up their game...you said it will upset them in another thread......and in this one you did a U turn. Either way , players will want to show what they can do...this news will have a positive effect.

Bayern insisted on clarity now, not at the end of the season. It's not Pep's fault at all if he doesn't want to renew his contract.

Nailed?

Lol. You got jokes, man.

You just got the wrong man in your efforts to play "gotcha."

I haven't wavered.

It is, however, nice to know I'm held in such high regard that you spent "ages" going back to have my posts searched for.

Yes, carl, I suggested that the prospect of Pellegrini leaving could be having a negative effect on the players.

And PP's comments seem to cement the idea as plausible as it may be having an effect on the Bayern players now.

Is that really that insane of an idea?

You seem certain that the effect will be positive.

Could it possibly have affected us when Mancini was managing us in the FA Cup Final? Or when speculation last season seemed to correlate to the teams' performance? Why bother offering Pellegrini a contract extension if you have it all "nailed" down?

I hope you are right, however, and that there is more expectation that Pep is coming (was more "maybe" before this weekend) does up the players' performances who want to remain.

Cheers.
