Can Leicester win it?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Can Leicester win it?

Postby PeterParker » Mon Dec 21, 2015 2:43 pm

Bottom on Boxing Day on 2014, Top one year later.

Can they win it?

(Of course City will win it) Can they go all the way this season with all the pressure that will be on them?

Not a hope in hell.

There is always one team that looks like breaking the mould. Granted, Leicester are doing even better than the likes of Southampton et al in recent seasons, but the same thing applies - the players at the top of the game will win out. Fitness, dept, skill and most importantly the mentality required to get it over the line.

I can see them finishing 5th.

They don't have much depth, any kind of injury to mahrez or vardy and they are struggling. Ulloa isn't consistent and they would drop a lot of points.

If they get lucky then they have a chance. Or maybe defences will wake up and show mahrez to the byline instead of allowing him to cut in on his left every time. Stick a man on vardy and you have shut up their goal supply.

If we lose they tonight they could be beat us and be 8 or 11 points clear of us. It would be them or more likely the Arse...

I don't believe so but what an achievement if they did, it would be amazing for them.

Everybody said it earlier in the season but I think a few will be changing their minds now. Maybe, with a few squad players and the likes if the Rags not trying to snatch Mahrez, they could be competing come May.

They've got the Dippers, us, Bournemouth and Spurs coming up which could easily give them a lead going into the middle of the New Year. The Fixtures haven't bothered them so far, no need for them to worry about those to come.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

We have to beat our rivals they will be thinking the same 29/12 could be a big night for both of us. If we god forbid lose tonight it could be the spike of momenturm for a two horse race.

Nah. They'll tail off. An injury to the main two and they lack any depth to continue the run. Excellent start for them and am pleased for them. Can certainly see them finishing within the top six though.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

Yes. The table doesn't lie after so many games in. Moreover, I'm not convinced us, arse, rags, spuds won't continue to drop points and be shit

They can. But they won't. This fairytale won't last all the way but I wouldn't rule out top four finish which would be nothing short of sensational

Can they win it? Of course they can.

Will they win it? I don't think so myself. I think it will catch up with them in February/March but I do think they could get fourth. Certainly hope so.

Lose to Arsenal tonight and I think they will become favourites. Just the same, if we win, it is the catalyst for us to kick on now the CL is put to bed for a couple of months. Take a draw all day long

They have to go to City, United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arse away, can't see them getting a lot of points there. They get a couple of injuries and they don't have the strength in depth.

No they won't win it. Even if they all stay fit, they have no experience of being at or near top and when the pressure builds their lack of experience will tell.
Pressure does strange things to teams.
