For all his liabilities, he's the only player we have capable of playing like a deep lying playmaker and we're set up to rely on one. Therein lies the predicament.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Even the consensus on here has him down as second.

Probably don't disagree with the point you're getting at overall but he's one of few game changers we have.

Which is the same thing he did our last game as well. We're built around him, he needs to show up for the entire game and not just try to grab it by the scruff at the end.

he's like matt le tissier these days
the team carries him but he collects the 'glory' for a 5 / 10 minute cameo
he needs dropping and being used as an impact sub

Cracking player facing the opposition goal. Absolute dogshit liability working without the ball and asked to put a shift in. I would have hooked the lazy bastard at half time, not delph.

Wanker. He put himself about a bit for the last ten minutes but before that I watched him jog back whilst Arsenal countered. He's done after this season.

And still the immense one keeps passing the ball 3 feet to him rather than take it on himself.

He hasn't been able to play in a two man midfield for 18 months now, teams are targeting him defensively we have seen it so many times but the manager keeps setting the team up with him there and being exposed. Used sparingly and effectively he can still contribute. Playing in a midfield 2 central for 90 mins is just beyond him at his age

making him captain and letting him do every fucking sky interview makes it fucking worse!

get a fucking captain/leader. Not one who wants to fuck off to play in belgium friendlies instead of helping his team out.

They're furthermore targeting him with their forward most of their time. Not that common that such a tactic works 100 % of the time.
