Nailed?

Lol. You got jokes, man.

You just got the wrong man in your efforts to play "gotcha."

I haven't wavered.

It is, however, nice to know I'm held in such high regard that you spent "ages" going back to have my posts searched for.

Yes, carl, I suggested that the prospect of Pellegrini leaving could be having a negative effect on the players.

And PP's comments seem to cement the idea as plausible as it may be having an effect on the Bayern players now.

Is that really that insane of an idea?

You seem certain that the effect will be positive.

Could it possibly have affected us when Mancini was managing us in the FA Cup Final? Or when speculation last season seemed to correlate to the teams' performance? Why bother offering Pellegrini a contract extension if you have it all "nailed" down?

I hope you are right, however, and that there is more expectation that Pep is coming (was more "maybe" before this weekend) does up the players' performances who want to remain.

Cheers.

The FA cup loss was all about players revolting against Mancini..., he had lost the dressing room by then and had fuckall to do with anything else

Bayern are losing arguably the best manager in football...fuckign right that will have a negative effect on the players...................

It's pretty much odds on to think that City players would be excited about the prospect of having Pep in as manager next season and I think it's common sense to expect them to play their socks off from now till the end of the season to show him what they can do.

Some of the players need to up their game for when Pep does arrive in June - starting tonight.
Pep will get rid of at least 4 or 5 of the current squad as a minimum. They just simply will not be able
To play and to do how he wants them to play or do.

I reckon it's curtains for:
Kolarov, Clichy, Sagna, Navas, Demi and possibly Yaya also for starters.
He will completely overhaul the squad and after two transfer windows of him
in charge it will be almost unrecognisable from what we have today.

Sounds great in theory, but motivation also comes from the manager, wouldn't you say?

I have some doubts at times about the capacity for Pellegrini to do so at times as much as I like him, knowing players say he can be much tougher behind the scenes, and in particular when they know he is a lame duck.

What was going on last season then? I know there was a post-World Cup full of hangovers, but we've also seen it in a few games this season where you wonder as well.

Again, I hope I am wrong, but I am not certain it is that simple. Maybe now that it seems even more likely Pep will come it will have the effect you are talking about, but relying primarily on the players self-motivation does not the most ideal approach.

Of course it won't happen, but we need to do something, were just lumbering on and in danger of letting a title slip very easily.

Would the performance today have been the same under Pep?

I don't feel we are getting what we should out of this team.

Carl I agree with your entire statement. BUT the lazy cunts called players obviously don't agree with that statement. Think a decent sized overhaul will be need in the summer

I'd get Mou.
Seriously.

When Pep comes here
1) He will never have managed in England
2) @ Barca & Bayern he inherited established teams ; here he will need to maybe not totally rebuild, but at least overhaul

When Mou walks through the door , he will win.
When he implodes after 3-4 seasons ; Paddy.
