Players Downing Tools.

Postby zabbadabbado » Tue Dec 22, 2015 7:14 pm

Seems to be a common theme these days. Opta Stats prove some players really are downing tools at their respective Clubs to get managers the Bullet.

Gone are the days when a manager pretty much retained the support of his team until the very end, and was sacked only for being shit at his job of managing. These days they are more likely to be worked out the door by lazy, mard arsed players, who feel affronted a being called out by the manager for not putting in a shift, or shouted at. Or maybe don't like how he wants them to play.

Some Chelsea players had downed tools to get Mourinho the Bullet. Hazard, Oscar,Ivanovich etc.I saw the stats from Oscar last 2 games. The one before Mourinho was sacked, and the one after. Pretty damning.

Over at The Swamp, much to my disappointment, it is obvious the Tactical Turtle is being worked out the door by a click downing Tools in the Rag dressing room.

We had it under Mancini, mard arse players crying to the chairmen to get him sacked. The main reason we went down the lovey, dovey, holistic approach, and have wasted 3 seasons of progression. Lucky for us Chelsea want to feel Pellegrini love next season. On the plus side we can write them off as title challengers.

If we are getting the same results with a fully fit squad and being in Chelsea's current league position then I would entirely agree with the players "downing tools".

When a decent manager fails (Mancini, Pellegrini, Maureen, LVG) you have to look at the players. Football would be a lot better if a few players were sacked at the same time, but it'll never happen. As such, they know they can down tools when they want and generally won't pay the penalty. Worst case is they get moved to a worse club but on the same wages

To be fair the likes Mancini, Pellegrini and to some extent LVG have had injuries and had done or doing a better job in keeping their players reasonably competitive. Maureen throughout his Chelsea tenure has had a full squad and kept his key players fit.

We wasted THREE years progression?

Wtf are you talking about, we won the double with a record amount of goals in his first fucking season?

Are you wiping that from the record books because you're still sore over Mancini?

The only time you seem to post is when we lose. At least I know you're a fan, unlike the other one.

But come on, make the agenda less obvious

what exactly is wrong with a holistic approach Zabbadabbado? Why shouldn't the club take the approach that everyone at the club is on the same page aiming for the same goal?

I don't believe that many players down tools. I have wondered though if players are knackered. Take City, Rags, Chelski, Dippers - all spent hundreds of millions on their squads but all are shite this season. We have players who have played for 2 solid years. The World Cup and then the South America copa thingy in the last 2 summers. Not only are our players there but they go all the way to both finals. Zaba and Aguero are amongst these and are always injured. Others look lethargic. The other teams noted above look much the same- full of stale players.

Maureen is a knob, but if I was their next permanent manager, my first requirement would be to get rid of Terry before I even walked in the door

Terry is past his best but they don't seem to have not many leaders in that team to begin with.

I looked my own opta stats for 2015...I should actually sack myself, I was that shit.

Must do better in 2016.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"
