Jesus Rural, sorry to hear this, fingers crossed for you. Never a good time for flooding for anyone. Praying that it passes you by without too much damage, physical or otherwise.

Bloody hell mate, that doesn't sound good.

Good luck buddy.

Thanks for the well wishes.
Well hiw the fuck we escaped that is beyond me. Next doors both sides were pumping water out their houses all day but non in ours. We do currently live on a small island but a lot folks close by got the worse of it. Allotments gone but that's neither here nor there in comparison to others.
Did see a cow whizz past floating down the river and one roads blocked as farmer had to use road as a pen for 1200 piggies or they would have drowned. The Aire Valley is just one giant lake it looks like Windermere.
Roll on the massive storm on new years eve cause early predictions seem to be that it's going to be much worse!!!!
Lots of jobs going round these part for bridge builders and cleaners.

It's been a testing time for me to say the least. Went on a 4 day trip to Lapland on the 16th December with my Wife and 8 year old Daughter. Lost both parents while I was away. Mum on the 17th and Dad on the 19th. They adored my Daughter and I know their attitude would have been "don't you dare spoil it for her" so just had to get on with it and tried to have as normal a Christmas as possible. They now have to have an inquest as my Dad's post mortem was unable to provide cause of death. On top of all that they lived pretty much next to the Irwell so don't know what I will find when I can get to their house. Can't get near at the moment due to road closures. 2016 can't come quick enough for me but I hope you all had a great Christmas.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

My condolences branny! I hope things start looking brighter for you soon
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"
"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."
