We're not pinning our hopes on him. We're adding him to team of 10 very good other players. If we don't put him in we'll never know what he can bring.

In a game we need a good result as Aguero is finally getting fit, which is when he usually turns it on?

I'm just struggling to understand the thinking here.

What did Aguero show you against Leicester that proved he's 'finally getting fit' mate? He was anonymous, just like he was at Arsenal. Like you say - it's a game we need a good result in.

I hear you mate. Thing is he is not going to get back to himself not playing, and he's too good to be dropped for Bony or Nacho. He's played a few games now, so you'd expect the match sharpness to be even better. He did make a few positive contributions and surely a player of his quality needs to start if he's fit enough. Can't see pretty much any top manager not including him in their first eleven, and I have been critical of Pellegrini of late.

If he'd pulled a muscle on 80 minutes due to overdoing it too soon on a wet pitch would you have said - "that's OK, thanks for trying it Manuel"? Aguero was knackered, Bony is now sharp (ish)

As for Nacho phips - he wasn't put on to 'score a goal in 2 minutes'.. It was obviously (surely?) a time wasting sub. Both managers went for 0-0 in the last minutes.

If he pulls a muscle then that's how it goes. He's not playing with a knock or something, he's just trying to get sharpness and fitness back after being out. He needs game time and we need him back ASAP so we can start looking closer to the team we should be. If he's on, I believe we will win the league as others suggest as well.

I agree with what you say about Aguero 100% mate. It would be nice to see the kid play alongside Serg though as well.

Watford will let us play, 100 mph start, in years gone bye that was perfect for our players, counter attack and kill them with goals off the mistakes they make, I do not see the pass out of the back we used to have to get us running at teams, none of the back fours we play are good enough on the ball, so Sergio is waiting for the service. Watford has got to be the start of our season away, we have been saying it for weeks.

Watford were appalling for much of the game against the scum as they just kept giving the ball away in dangerous positions. Do the same against us and we will batter them. They do seem to have got their act together more now and will go for us with aggression and strength. If we stand up to that and don't concede stupid goals I think we can take this one .

I was thinking the same about Watford starting at 100 mph but as long as we start with the right tempo & attitude ourselves we should be ok, which we have done in the last couple of games.

I have a gut feeling that tomorrow the chances will go in & Sergio will click into gear.

Just a gut feeling though & that could be wind !!

They did loads of that v Spurs as well. Let's hope that continues one last time this season and we can capitalise on that.

As I've said I would start with Sterling and Navas on the wings. Not sure whether to go with Piccs' suggested 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1/4-4-1-1 though. I don't think that is what determines the outcome of this game though, it's more of a case which City turns up.

Ake got sent off v Spurs. Is this going to leave them a bit light at the back by any chance?

MUST WIN !!!!
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

I see they've lost 4 at home and 2 away, hmmm.

Watched the Spuds game but I really don't know what to make of them at all.

I think we will win and start a good run.

Good point, forgot to mention that in my opening post. Haven't seen much of Watford but in that Spurs game they created a Lot more down the left side with Jurado/Ake than from their right. Ake made some good overlapping runs so hopefully him missing will play into our hands.

I have absolutely zero idea who will replace him though so who knows if that red a blessing in disguise for them??

Ake is good. Chelsea could do with players like that
