Would performances from KDB, Aguero ( butt what a goal) and Yaya likewise. Sterling was wank too.
Also should have been a pen on Fern 1

Made up with that

Exactly. Never a corner. Atkinson useless as usual

I agree we must rest a lot of player on Wednesday.

I kept hearing how their front two caused us all sorts of problems and to a point they did because they are damnes awkward physical player, but how many actual chances did they have? I have a bad memory but can only think of 1 clear chance which Joe saved brilliantly. We didn't look that secure defensively but they really didn't have that many chances.

We had more I think ( Sterling over the top,Dinho's header, Yaya over the top and there was the pen not given on Dinho) but generally we were messing up too much in the last 3rd and giving the ball away far too cheaply and far too often.

What a great 3 points though.

I disagree. It's a semi final on Wednesday. I really want the League Cup now we are in the semi. If we sacrifice the F a Cup, fair enough. But I want the C1 Cup and a Wembley weekend.
There are three domestic trophies up for grabs and if you lift any of them it's a successful season.

I am not sure how many times you need to be told this but here we go again anyway. We haven't got enough fit players to replace the tired players with. Clichy and Zaba are injured. Kompany is injured and Demichelis is so far over the hill he is half-way up the next valley. Delph and Fernando are not fit. Silva and Aguero are not properly fit yet but need minutes on the field, like pre-season over again. Nasri is out for the season.

We can't just twitch our noses and magic up replacement footballers.

I think we can make some changes for the league cup game, Tokes. Both Zaba and Clichy are fit again and Fernamdo was on the bench. If Delph is fit I would play him too. Nacho could play and Bony could start too. I know its risky to change so many but the lads need a break. I would start daft Martin too against Everton.

Willy
Zaba Nicolas Martin Clichy
Fernando Delph
Navas Agüero Sterling
Bony

I hope we can, but I don't see the point in players who are not fit playing in a semi-final. Being on the bench and being ready for 90 minutes of action are two very different things, unfortunately. Aguero and Silva need the game time though so I wouldn't leave them out. Navas for de Bruyne would be useful I think. Maybe Iheanacho for Sterling too, and play him as part of the attacking midfield three. I reckon he could do that. It is a semi-final though, and Everton, while not Brazil 1970, are still a good team on their own patch. We can't weaken the team too much or we might end up leaving ourselves too much to do in the second leg. A repeat of what happened last time we were at this stage would do me nicely.

If the players you mentioned were properly fit, they'd be starting matches, I'm sure. It is their condition rather than the "bloody-mindedness" of the manager that is stopping them playing. I firmly believe that.

I do agree the likes of Zaba and Fern 2 are not match fit and it's a risk to start them. But they do need to play at some point and I would do that against Everton. I know it's a semi final but we won't improve in the league if we don't give some a rest.

Good points. It's tricky, isn't it? In a way I am glad I don't have to make the choice. I suspect the medical staff will probably make that call. I'd perhaps leave it till the Norwich game.

Whatever MP does, I just hope we win the tie.

I turned off when yaya smashed one over at one nil and headed back to work. I'd like to take credit today for the comeback as it seemed me not watching spurred us on to a great win.

Don't worry about the legends poll this time boys, just slide it my way.

A bit of fight coming back and hopefully some belief too. Looking around some other fan forums and it seemed none of them thought we would come back from being a goal down so a small but important psychological impact for all, time to keep driving forward and drag our backside to the top of the league.

I actually think that Pellers won us the game. He made some briliant changes today, he took out Sterling who was shit AGAIN, put Bony in and won us the game.

I can't blame him because our defence is capable of receiving a goal from corner. All and all, a huge win after a bad game.
