Pep to Chelsea?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

While I think he is an excellent manager, I really don't like the drama surrounding him.

Announcing that he will make an announcement at this or that date (media lapping it up obviously), popularising the sabbatical trend and burnout shtick (he's in New York! getting private lessons in this or that language! fuck off!), fawning over every tidbit of bullshit (if everything is 'super' at Bayern, why is he leaving?), media sucking him off over every turd he squeezes out (his German isn't even objectively 'good' ffs).

How about playing is straight or if that is too disrupting during the season, a plain old "no comment". No, we get constant tedious fuckin' bullshit from this guy.

Pep is a winner. which puts him in the confident camp. If he rucked up at the Swamp, interesting would be one word to describe the conference call !

The Sky Sports Germany guy who's very close to Bayern says there's no doubt; he's 100 per cent certain Pep's coming to City. I doubt there'll be any significant incomings this window but if there are I'm sure Pep will be consulted. The big news from Pep today is that he's not looking for a 1 year sabbatical so it's next Summer and Pellegrini will get his 1 year pay off.

Nothing more to add apart from that we could still meet him in the CL.

The scene is set for Guardiola to take over the helm. From the boardroom downwards this has always been the plan. I suspect Pellegrini always knew he was leaving at the end of three years regardless.

Guardiola is younger, has a psychotic thirst for success and wanted our academy complete before he took over. I also believe that's why Vieira was moved out because Pep wants complete control from top to bottom.

Personally I'm looking forward toward the next chapter in Citys illustrious history.

Blatter and Platini would tell us verbal contracts exist.
He's coming here - there's an Academy tailor-made for him to draw talent from, with staff he's worked successfully with at Barca, and a supportive and ambitious Chairman and owner, plus there's a squad more than capable of winning the league without major adjustments and we are a club still looking to prove ourselves in Europe. We tick every box.

Certainly looks like that was the plan all along.
I've every faith that the Sheik has planned well beyond a 5 year cycle and there's stuff coming down the pipeline in the future that others can only dream of.
All the speculation from other groups is just that. Speculation...because they haven't a clue.

Things change pal! he might come in do three and think actually bash another two on there boss. Or he comes in does three wins loads and we get Vieria in after plenty more experience he could stay for five then Vinny take over.

It's in line with Soriano's thinking so I don't have an issue with it.

"Three years in football is a long time. In football, teams have cycles and you can have managers who go through several cycles and managers who go through one cycle. Obviously, we want the next manager to stay for a number of years, but I think it would not be wise to speculate.

"Maybe a manager can do one or two cycles, but people get tired. Players need another way, another excitement, and managers also want to move. It's normal."

In ten years Vinnie will be in a fucking wheelchair.
