Hmmmmmmmm

Plus Bony is probably a lot better at getting thumped by centre halves.

This conversation has been had about 100 players since the internet came out. Of those I think Nacho has the greatest chance of making it.

But it's really depressing how many fans have so little understanding of the PL that they think he should go straight in over Bony at the first opportunity. People who have seen him for 3 minutes call the coaches, who see him for hours every day, idiots.

That's forums I guess.

Here's why i said this conversation is completely fucking irrelevant...

show me some stats that tells me Jayko's not any better than Bony and you'll seem justified.

I can tell you that twice Jayko's run of form helped us win the league.

I can also tell you that Bony will never fucking do that.

That's the goddammable difference i see.

I hope to fuck i'm wrong, but i bet i'm not.

cheers

So some would rather have Dzeko right now than Bony?

How's Dzeko getting on this season?

Dzeko did some great things for us. His last season was a right carve up though.
And as it happens, I thought he got a lot of unfair criticism.

Dzeko was mentioned as a better alternative to bony NOW.

He was shocking in his last season and is pretty shite this season too.

The answer is there is no world class striker or close to that would be willing to play second fiddle to Aguero that we could sign instead.

I don't know why that is so hard to grasp.

I find the Bony haters go over the top sometimes, but I have been severely disappointed by his contribution so far, truth be told.

My initial thought was that we overpaid for an average striker, but I tried to tell myself (and others) that he scored loads for Swansea, was 'prem proven', a great backup, plan B, rarely injured etc.

Turns out, a year on he still struggles to get involved properly (no, scrapping for the ball does not count) and looks a right clumsy square peg.

Of course, it's easy to list fantasy targets or some flavour of the season with the power of hindsight, but you are kidding yourself if you think we weren't able to attract better options for the same price or a player of similar quality for a fraction. Instead we panicked and pissed away £28 million.

Also, we don't need a world class striker to deputise for Aguero. We just need someone who will contribute more than Bony (and the Dzeko of last season fwiw). Anyone who thinks that is impossible, can do one. In our title winning seasons we've had a strike force of Aguero/Tevez/Dzeko/Balotelli and Aguero/Dzeko/Negredo/Jovetic. Some of those couldn't be relied on for certain periods, but at their peak, every single one of them shat on Bony's best performance in a City shirt, never mind his best month. From a fuckin' distance.

With Bony most likely back for the 2nd leg, at what point will Ian get his chance?

Even the hardest 'don't just throw kids in' fans on here must be shocked at that last sub to bring Fernando on rather than Nach?

Even Fernando looked like he though he shouldn't be on the pitch. Puzzling to say the least

Step Brothers is on. I'm going to watch that as I'll understand that more than that final sub.

Are we sure about him? What's he done to make people so sure? I've not seen enough, but I have a fear he'll end up another bwp.

is the above a piss take?

I dont think nacho will ever get more than 3 minutes to change a game.

whats his stats? Pretty sure he has the best goals to minutes ratio of any city striker, ever............bring him on with more than 3 minutes to change a game ffs.

Bony will never change a game from the bench.

Fair enough. Makes our apparent reluctance to fucking play him a bit shit! What the fuck is it about him that's not getting noticed by the management? It can't just be pig headedness!

nothing to do with him IMO, its the fact that playing him will piss off aguero, bony or one of the midfield big boys.

Bony has already mouthed off about not starting ahead of aguero. He should realise that Nacho deserves a chance over him and that Nacho is twice as likely to rescue a game.

There are some very short memories on here. Edin got absolutely slammed by the very people on here that now wish he hadn't gone. Carl and Doomy for two.

nacho would be more likely to change a game from the bench than dzeko currently, why are we stook in the past?

we don't need a slow static goal poacher in this team, the way we are playing and setup. Bony has taken Dzeko's role. We need some cunt who is going to put 110% in, press teams, win the ball and has hunger and skill to run at defences.

This is not Dzeko or Bony or Mario. Or Bianchi. Possibly Jove but thats another thread..

Well if Iheanacho doesn't get at least a 25 minute run out on Saturday at Norwich I'll be stunned & very disappointed.

You're a real dumbfuck.

Jayko got slammed when he was shit. Fair enough. And he got praised the 33% of the time he made a difference. And in key matches he often bailed us out of jail. When has Bony done that?

My point is just that Bony isn't mattering even a third of the time. We need a better option. And there are many.

I don't want last seasons Jayko back instead of Bony.

I want something else to happen. its not so crazy is it?

Ffs people watch the fucking matches and get some critical thinking skills.

Cheers

Unless we buy someone better than Aguero, they are not going to get a look in as Aguero will always be 1st pick and he has been shit this season apart from his 5 haul and he was actually shocking in the 1st half of that game. I dont blame Bony for having a whinge about Aguero being afforded the Managers son syndrome. I would pick Bony out of the two of then if they were both fit for Norwich.
