To me, this is the final. It's the more difficult game.

I'm led to believe that Martin Atkinson is to ref the semi second leg…It's been a nice cup run…Never mind

Utterly corrupt

He strikes me as the type to see the Navas penalty not given first leg and think "I'll even this up”.

Mike Jones and Clattenburg linesmen for the game

Let's all lighten up now. We were all in a tremendous fume when we saw that we got drawn with City in the first place - and we find ourselves 2-1 up and with a home advantage!
Give the man a chance, he'll probably give us 2 penalties as an apology for his diabolical derby performance!

We just have to make sure we take our chances and put the game to bed.

I would imagine we will have a very large following including taking up tickets in the home end. City will have far bigger prizes to aim for with CL coming up soon so hopefully we will want it more than they do.

We're becoming a load of cryarses.

We're up 2-1! We're going for the final!

Nothing worse than running before the battle starts and getting the excuses in early. We'll get the result we need at the Etihad to get into the final.Dodgy reff or no dodgy reff.

I hope Atkinson keeps his nerve, as I think the City crowd will be demanding a free kick/penalty for practically everything

Still adamant Gerry and Mirallas in the same team could lead to disaster. Especially away. Especially against City.

UPDATE : Tuesday 26 JAN

I have got the right day this time, so for the final time this season ( I hope ), here the thoughts of our visitors tomorrow night - they are not happy!

And the rest...

Please get through everton

Without Besic or McCarthy I think we'll lose, unfortunately

Dreading this enormously. Hopefully find some optimism from somewhere between now and wednesday. Please please everton for once in my life actually do it when it matters.

Martinez will find a way to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.

There will be no middle ground…We will either have a stormer and fluke a result or get proper walloped about 5-1 and be the subject of mockery again.

We seem to play to the level of the opposition and love a draw this season so reckon we can get through. Will be a tough ask in the midfield without besic or mccarthy though

Honestly this is the game that matters, draw here and win at wembley and 12th in the table will do. Come on lads.

Nervy 1-1.

JUST PARK THE BUS FFS

We win by any score =sorted
we draw by any score=sorted

1-0 at FT= extratime; 1-0 at end of extratime =city on away goals
2-0 at FT=city
2-1 at FT= extratime; 2-1 at end of extratime= Pens =who knows, but with our luck....
3-2 at FT= extratime; 3-2 at end of extratime=EFC on away goals
lose by 2 clear goals = city

That about it??

It's an away match, away from all the anger hate filled bells in our 'Support', hopefully the players can relax and put in a good performance again in front of another Clubs supporters

Scared of Aguero only. The rest of their team are mentally weak. He's on fire and we're conceding 2 to Swansea

Aguero was on fire before the first leg and we shut him out, we cut the service to him and we go through simple as that

I hope Stones is on the bench and that we win.

We are ready for this huge game. That is why we were so poor v Swansea. A draw will do us. Can we get that ?. Of course we can. That is my prediction. Then we are going to Wembley. COYB.

Very, very worried...I honestly reckon the future of this club solely depends on this game. I believe we'll win the cup if we make the final but if we miss out on the final after Wednesday night, then the confidence in the squad will be....don't even wanna go there. Martinez needs to win the cup to save his job and for us to have any shred of hope to keep the likes of Lukaku, Deulofeu and Barkley etc.

Delph is a good player, I think he will have a good career at City.

Watched City play on Saturday. We're gonna smash them all over the shop on Wed.

After yesterdays performance vs Swansea, i hope i am wrong but i expect a 3-1 or 3-0 City

Really hope i am wrong, but we cannot defend for toffee at the moment (excuse the pun), we need to score as i cannot see us stopping City scoring

I said my piece on Man City in the first leg preview. Spoilt little rich kids who don't know how lucky they are. Why them? Still makes no sense. Makes even less sense when you realise the Sheikh Mansour or whatever his name is wanted to buy Newcastle first. How does that make City fans feel? He preferred Newcastle to you.

Aguero hasn't scored against us in over 2 years. Not worried in the slightest about him - I'm more worried about Silva and KDB than anyone else

We've ridden our luck against city twice….This will be a bloodbath.

Sadly City have probably sussed out our weaknesses after the 0-0 a few weeks ago so they will know the areas they can capitalize.

This game is massive for so many reasons it's unreal. That away end will be either something you won't forget for a long while or 7,000 angry heads looking for Martinez's head.

What's that guy on about 2-1 with home advantage? He'll be on his own at Goodison.

I will update this and bump it next Tuesday, and now I think I will go and lay in a darkened room

This is what I am hoping. We do not want a lethargic first half. Hit them from the off at pace. They were creaking under pressure at the end of that 0-0.

Sick to death of the red dippers wankfest, klopp is also starting to grind me after seeing the idiot last sat celebrating a win against a relegation team.
Im beginning to think i hate them more than the scumbags, i wish they would sink into oblivion.
As for blue scouse we should be able to turn these twats over their forms been poor, so long as our keystone cop defenders turn up it will be a job well done,

You Bastard cutemancs!!!

I very briefly had a read of the forum last Tuesday, saw the thread then without thinking arranged to go out and sunk 10 pints then rushed back home in time for kick off with a few of the boys, royally pissing the wife off in the process (it was 11.45pm) and was completely confused in my drunken state, as to why the fucking game wasn't on the telly.

And until now I'd completely forgot that it was this thread responsible for me thinking the game was last week.
