Very different, the attacker has kicked the ball centrally and the likelihood is he would've got the ball first which would leave him with a clear goalscoring opportunity.

In our game the attacker kicks the ball straight ahead which means it's travelling to one side of the goal, the likelihood is they would get there first but the defender who's central would likely have made up the ground to prevent the clear goalscoring opportunity.

Correct decision on both occasions.
