The quote from Phil Jagielka about him speaking to Referee Atkinson about the ball being out are funny to us but I don't like a ref to get involved in personal shit. Just do your job.

Jagielka said he spoke to the referee about the ball being out the ref said "Your defending was brilliant". Not sure if this was at the time or after the final whistle.

You can't fault a ref for giving it back a little bit since they get shit on from both teams, the fans, and the media after every game. Horrible job

And I don't think that phips is really anti City, rather he is the epitome of a plastic American fan. No real loyalty and his heart isn't in it at all. Prefers City in the same way that you may prefer one type of pizza over the other. Just something to keep him entertained for a bit until Dortmund come on. He doesn't understand why people think he's always have a go at City because he doesn't understand at all the mentality of more dedicated supporters (real sports fans).

It's almost worse than a rag to be honest. At least you know what side they're rooting for, but phips apparently decides as the game unfolds.

I don't agree....if the ref went running to the media telling all and sundry what players have screamed in their faces then imagine the fallout from that !!

Most players are little wankers who dish it out but can't take it.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

agree entirely with carl - would love to hear what Jagielka actually said to him word for word - i'm sure it wasn't "excuse me sir, i believe the ball went over the line..."

Instead of acting as if the worlds biggest miscarriage of justice has happened to him Martinez should be more concerned that they only had 2 shots on goal in a cup semi final. The man's almost the biggest embarrassment at the club, however that's still Bill Kenwright.

He looks like he's steering the Everton bus around a bend.

PMSL.

Hope it is him.

I like the next tweet down on the TweetChelseaFC list, the one with the winning penalty in the Champions League final. Quality clip.
